Ouch
This makes a ton of sense. That arrogant Ahole likes to hear his name.Truth. NFL teams aren't hiring a Vandy coach with limited NFL experience. He has to win at a big school. They know guys like Franklin don't mind their name being thrown out there for publicity. Jim Caldwell will get a job before Franklin but they respect him too much to throw his name around just for Rooney exceptions. Franklin not so much
A Foxsports reporter just tweeted "look for Franklin to be in the mix should Titans fire Munchak".
I will go back to my childhood team. COWBOYS
If the Titans were going to fire Munchak it would have been done already. You don't sit around and wait while everyone snatches up all the good candidates then fire your coach. If they do then you Titans fans are in trouble because Tommy Smith is pure moron to do this and would show lack of being able to make a decision without emotion. He should have fired munch right when season ended but he didn't. Now he needs to live with it another year
Texas recruits itself. I like Chuck but I don't think he's strong at the X's and O's. we'll just have to see how it goes.
If Smith is actually willing to bring Munch back as a lame duck, my hope that we might shake some of the Raiders vibe Bud was giving the franchise is probably gone.
I understand bringing him back if you're wanting to roll with Locker. If one or both (Locker/Munch) flop, then you can blow it up and start over in 2015.
But I really don't get how beating the two worst teams in the final weeks (who you managed to LOSE to earlier in the season) warranted continuing down that road. Fan apathy will be massive.
Personally, I was hoping they'd kick Wisenhunt's door down.
