This just makes me think Williams will definitely win over Hooker. Degenerate culture sells, christianity does not. The “**** NDxx” will get eyeballs and clicks, Bible verses get yawns.

Do I agree with that, or like it? No. It’s a serious problem in our society, but it isn’t new.

You are being ridiculous. If it motivated him to win the game, who cares? Unclasp the pearls next time you throw out a xxxxx on here.

Has the night time ,no offense, been put to rest now ? I certainly hope so.

I know I’m way behind, but damnit you guys make it hard to keep up. Anyways, the issue was never playing at night. The issue is that we do very poorly in hostile, road games.

I’m pretty sure if the LSU game had not started the way it had, taking the crowd out of it before the midway point of the 1st quarter, we would have been in for a hard fought game.

Home, neutral, home away from home (Vandy) we should be just fine, but Heupel and staff needs to get the team to do better when the crowd is against us.

Exactly. It's not just Joe. The receivers lose traction, the ability to cut and being able to get away from grabbing D-backs in wet conditions. Throws the timing and location off in wet conditions. The throw to Fant was a perfect example. Good, catchable ball that was one foot off because Fant made the throw harder by going more vertical in wet, windy conditions.

Milton's going to be really good IMO. Needs to develop chemistry with a couple of receivers he trusts just like Hooker did.
The weather could have affected the accuracy of his passes and made it harder to catch them, but Vandy has artificial turf so I don't think our receivers were losing traction. They actually looked like they were flying right past the Vandy DBs.

I think the coaches have a receiver going deep on too many plays. Works great with Hooker in there because he seems to know when to take that shot and is great throwing it deep. With Milton, it's almost like he's determined to throw it deep on any play that has a guy running a go route...and he's too amped up to make that pass. This is all me just trying to make sense of what I'm seeing, and I could be wrong. Milton looks like a different guy coming in late in blowouts with no pressure on him. I really think if the coaches limit his opportunities to throw deep early in games (maybe on 2nd and short where it doesn't hurt to miss) and force him to make 10-15 yard passes, then he'll get comfortable and start dropping dimes on the deep shots.

I'm really glad they did their job better...but....63.

They played hard one game too late...but at least they learned from it. I give them credit for that.

Now...never let an all around defensive abomination like the SC game happen...never ever.

Pretty sure that was our Clemson moment. We'll gather more talent, so as to not have that

I’ve literally seen it happen 4-5 times this year in other games… including Ole Miss fans in the egg bowl. Announcers barely said a word
There is a difference…. They couldn’t get us to stop…. Had to pull the cheerleaders off the field and players brought onto the field to avoid getting injured.

I can't totally agree with that. Yes...society is attracted to scandal and sensationalism. However, I think we would want this to be publicized and become a talking point because some Heisman voters will not like it. The more hits of any type that the other candidates have, the more voters will look around to see who else is out there that they're overlooking. There really isn't a clear choice for the Heisman right now. It's a longshot, but maybe some of them come back around to Hooker and realize what kind of season he had, the impact he had on his team, and the great stats he put up against a tough schedule...despite missing the last game and not throwing late in multiple blowouts.

That’s true. But that’s not what bugs me. We had national writers, from coast to coast, who couldn’t wait to condemn the whole fanbase, because a fraction of our fanbase at the stadium got rowdy. There were even calls for our team to play in an empty stadium for the rest of the year. There was no perspective or restraint whatsoever. Everyone was indicted, even the fans sitting on their couches at home that night.

These other teams got a bit rowdy, and no one said a word. There may have been a difference of degree between the incidents, but the reaction was full-throated castigation vs crickets.

Without the USC Jr. game the defense would have finished a lot better.

I just asked this in another thread thinking I was here so I'll ask again.

Taylor Zarzour just strongly hinted at a SEC coaching change no one is currently talking about.

Anyone got any guesses?

Saw that. They were in the middle of a discussion about Florida, when he brought it up, not sure if that's relevant.

My best guess would be MSU or Kentucky.

Just take out the Bama game and Florida game as well… 😉. Or we could take out every other team’s worst defensive performance and then compare. Lol…
