Just saw the depth chart for the UGA game. JWT got moved back to RB. Weird to move a player twice in one week like that.

I can’t tell if this is a running joke about RBs being converted to LBs or what. But the day people were saying he was moved to LB, he was listed on the depth chart as a RB. I assumed either it was jokes on here or the depth chart was meaningless

Someone help me. Just read The Athletic column authored by Mike Kuchar which analyzes the Vols' passing game technically. Great piece. I've seen several of these analytical columns lately. What I'd like to see is what UGA will do to counter this (or can they counter what the offense does). Anyone know?

What makes Tennessee's offense so explosive? Inside Josh Heupel's deep choice system

I’m sure they’ll play man in stretches. Sure can’t do it the whole game or you’ll be gassed. They’ll show a lot of looks. They’ll prob stay away from the match zone that Saban got cooked with. But at the end of the day it’s hell trying to stop an offense when the receiver gets to pick his own route based on the look.

Well we never saw it announced officially by anyone, my guess is that someone that has access to practices saw him taking reps at LB or there is also a chance someone confused JWT (26) with Pearce Jr. (27) at practice.

Doubt anyone officially moves positions (depth chart etc.) during the season though. But they have allowed players to cross train during practice before during the season so who knows.

Vegas can be slow to adopt to teams in breakout years because they are expecting them to slip up or be brought back down to earth at some point. I forget the number, think @Devo182 has posted them a couple times, but Vegas has undervalued our lines by something like 10 points average on the year. This is why a lot of pro bettors love the beginning of seasons because they like to try and find teams to exploit that they think will be overperforming expectations and then they ride them until Vegas catches up. The fact is, sometimes Vegas takes longer to catch up than other times. This is one of those times.
That's why I hate the beginning of the year. All I have to go off of is what the "experts" and Vegas tell us about teams and those fools are wrong a lot more than the average fan realizes. . . especially at the beginning of the season.

I have a question for you guys that pay attention to this sort of stuff. Has anyone defended our wide receivers man to man? I saw a quote from Kirby where he said that this was the best way to shut us down.

It may be but you better get pressure or you’ll get torched. And they don’t get much at all.

I have never said we can't win this game...we definitely can...they are not light years ahead of us...not this year.

But it will be a really tough out, they are extremely talented and deep, so I think they have the slight edge being at home.
I agree. But, I think our style of play on offense limits their depth on defense. I think that our offense can more than match points with their offense just like we did with Alabama. Our defense doesn’t have to be perfect every time they’re on the field. Hold them to three points once or twice and get a couple of three and outs and we can win this game. Will it be tough? Sure, I agree. But, I honestly think we win the game Saturday. I think Tennessee has the edge. I think deep down Georgia fans can see it.
