Say what you will about the country and monarchy, but it's darn impressive they've lasted this long. Maybe entirely due to Elizabeth, but most Western monarchies have completely dissolved. The Brits are the last to have one that people around the world actually know and somewhat care about. It's kinda interesting.Royalty is dumb.
But I wish no ill will on the lady either. Js. I have a feeling the next couple generations of the royal family are going to dismantle that nonsense.
I know Japan still does.Say what you will about the country and monarchy, but it's darn impressive they've lasted this long. I'm pretty sure some Scandinavian countries have monarchs... nobody knows or cares about them. The next best well-known example would be the Saudis but they're not a Western society.
Maybe I'll will see the British royal family evaporate into irrelevancy in my lifetime... maybe they'd already be there if she hadn't lived so long.
I went to UT (didn't graduate from UT), put two kids through college over there. I'll say "we" if I dang well want to.Haha......That brings up a personal pet-peeve of mine.
I only say "our" in refrence to Austin Peay, because I went there and played a sport there. I do get it that fans say "our." I just personally can't with UT.
Don't everyone get mad at me, it's just a personal thing.....![]()
Japan's was pretty much neutered after WW2 wasn't it?I know Japan still does.
Bhutan...of course, it's still a kingdom (on my bucket list, VERY unique place)
Britain's royal importance is directly tied to their imperialism. Not about to clap for all that jazz.
Regardless, birth right royalty is dumb in all forms and in every country. Cue the Monty Python lines

Everyone keeps saying we didn’t sack the QB last week
they got the ball out quick and our interior DL looked like they were in a stalemate to prevent those long QB runs
And they say we gotta stop the run
Well
Last year we held them to under 100 yards rushing
We lost by 7
Turned the ball over 3 times and they had zero turnovers
Committed 13 penalties for over 125 yards
Last year we **** the bed in our second game with a new coach, small scholarship numbers and injuries
Hopefully we shut the talking heads up
I think we win by 14+
What amazes me more than anything about hummingbirds is that they are migratory. They migrate all the way to Mexico and Central America. Pretty amazing for such a small creature. After all the completely unexpected hummingbird talk today, I have a suggestion. If you have young, impressionable kids + hummingbirds, you should look into feeders that have a suction cup attachment and place it on a low window. This was taken from about 6 inches away. They like the nectar enough that pretty soon they realize you are not a threat, as long as you don't make sudden moves. The kids were completely fascinated to be able to watch them from a few inches away at eye level. They are truly amazing. View attachment 487955
You talking about the Tennessee game? I wish I got UT @ -3.5 when it first opened. It went as high as -7.5, but now back to -6.
Maybe youre talkimg about something different and I'm having a blonde moment.
