Thirty odd years ago I made a promise to my Dad. Today I had to keep that promise. My dad has had Dementia for several years his health the few months has steadily declined so today I put him on Hospice care to just keep him comfortable as he slips away. For a brief time today he opened his eyes. I took his hand laid my head on his chest and him I loved him and it was ok to just let go. I cried like a baby (at 61) not ashamed. If your mom and dad are still alive tell them you love while you can.

My dad has had it for 10 yrs. and is declining fast. He is skin and bones. Seriously looks like one of those holocaust victims. It is the most heartbreaking disease and I am with you as I have wept many times already. Been praying for him to just go on absolutely no quality of life.

How long has he been there?

The new walk-ons moved in over the weekend. I'm just a little surprised the media didn't try to track down who the new walk-on QB was, especially after it was noted in a practice report. Even McDaniel was quiet about it. I think the lockdown speaks to how much respect Pruitt has inside the program.

My bet is he goes on $ at Christmas
Possible, though we'd be giving up an annual spot in that case and sort of defeats the walk on advantage (from our side). If that was the case, seems we'd just put him on scholly immediately and it would be an easier sell.

It's a dreadful disease. No person and no family should have to go through that. I'm so sorry.

My dad passed from this in December. Horrible experience. His had been a downhill ride for many years. The real sad part is that he always wanted to be 'gone' before something like this happened. Unfortunately, there is no 'assisted suicide' and he ended up riding it out (he also felt an obligation to hang in for his wife) In the end, his wife though was a saint doing most of the heavy work during the terrible times.
