Thirty odd years ago I made a promise to my Dad. Today I had to keep that promise. My dad has had Dementia for several years his health the few months has steadily declined so today I put him on Hospice care to just keep him comfortable as he slips away. For a brief time today he opened his eyes. I took his hand laid my head on his chest and him I loved him and it was ok to just let go. I cried like a baby (at 61) not ashamed. If your mom and dad are still alive tell them you love while you can.
My dad has had it for 10 yrs. and is declining fast. He is skin and bones. Seriously looks like one of those holocaust victims. It is the most heartbreaking disease and I am with you as I have wept many times already. Been praying for him to just go on absolutely no quality of life.
