Yes. Remember, we play them at the end of the year so they won’t be getting broken in when we play them. They’ll have a full season of experience

Mason enters year 6 and has never won 7 games in a season. He's replacing a 3 year starter at QB, will start at least 2 OL players who've not played a snap in a game on that side of the ball. Also lost 5 defensive starters, 3 in the secondary.

I'm just not buying them being better than 6 wins, and I'm not buying us being worse than 6 wins this year.

Georgia, LSU, Missouri, @ South Carolina @ Florida, @ Tennessee I think are all losses for them.

I don’t think they are better than 6 wins either. I would say 6-6 is about right.

Oh, didn't realize that they have LSU.

The difference with our DL is I’m not sure about the talent we have there if Solomon isn’t granted his waiver. That’s huge for us.

I trust 1 guy there to have a good season. Have hope for about 3-4 though.
It's the big question. I'm just thinking baring injuries we should be at least equal to their OL.

I would hope so. I think my expectation is for us to be decent there, but when I think about it, it’s more hope than confidence if that makes sense.

Solomon, Middleton, Savion I have a lot of hope will be good. Just have to see it before I’m confident.

I think both us and Vandy are probably around 3-5 in the SEC. maybe +/- 1 game depending on some luck

Our SEC games: @ Florida, BYE week then Georgia, Miss State, @ Bama, USC, @ KY, BYE week then @ Mizzou, Vandy
Vandy SEC games: Georgia, BYE week then LSU, @ Ole Miss, Mizzou, BYE week then @ USC, @ UF, KY, @ TN

They play every weekend in November and 3 of them are road games...maybe I'm being a homer, but I think they got potential to have a really rough season. Could see them even dropping two out of conference, @ Purdue right after opening day against Georgia then play Northern Illinois right after LSU could both be losses for them.

I understand this. Was just trying to figure out the confidence in Vandy, and wondering if it had more to do with the past than who they actually have. I was hoping the past is what brought you to that conclusion.

Vols got no love from the media...

2019 Preseason All-SEC football team: Tua Tagovailoa highlights record 12 Alabama players selected

First Team Secondary:
Delpit - LSU
Reed - Georgia
Diggs - Bama
Henderson - Florida

Second Team Secondary:
Surtain - Bama
McKinney - Bama
Fulton - LSU
Dantzler - MSU

Third Team Secondary:
Acy - Missouri
Carter - Bama
LeCounte - Georgia
Thomas - Auburn
So... Bryce was a freshman All American and Surtain wasn’t, but Surtain is second team and Bryce is nowhere to be found. Makes sense

It’s Georgia then everybody else in the East. Kentucky beat Florida last year. Vandy plays hard under Mason. SC will be tough as nails like always.

Pruitt feels good about this team. If we stay healthy and the returning production predictions pay off then I think we could finish 2nd. If Trey can’t play, if JG goes down, if the freshmen don’t pick up the game fast, then we could easily be 5th at 6-6.

7 wins is my floor. 9 the ceiling. A Florida victory in the swamp and I’m happy with 6-6 though!
