Asheville is beautiful. Have you gotten your hands on any Bateman’s Sourwood Honey? It’s local to you, very rare, and hard to find.
No but this stuff looks amazing. Where in the world do you find it? The actual location that appears is pretty far out there. Tried calling a couple of numbers, but nobody picked up. Is there a specific store that carries it closer to Asheville?

PMI is about the biggest racket there is. It only protects the mortgage company and you have to pay for it.
Truly astonishing anyone even accepts paying it. If someone said they wanted me to insure me paying them a monthly bill I would laugh in their face and go somewhere else. It only exists to this day because people put up with it. Utter insanity.

So not a cruise person but glad you had a good time buddy!
I have never thought I would be a cruise person either, but my family has been trying to get us to go with them for years, and my sisters offered to pay for our cruise tickets and plane fare up front (not free..I have to pay them back..lol) so I did not have an excuse...anyways it made my mom happy so it is worth it.

I actually enjoyed the heck out of it though, the Carnival staff treats you like royalty, the entertainment and food was amazing, and it was just overall a load of fun.

I would not do one every year, but I do want to go again sometime with the family...but what I really want to do is fly to St. Thomas and stay on St. John for about a week...I absolutely love that place.

No doubt. I just say "lower humidity". If you want to feel serious humidity, just go to Middle TN, SC, obviously FL or TX. Asheville is no Southern Cal humidity wise, but man is it preferable to the rest of the South.

Folks have a place in Fl, just travelled to SC, and lived in Asheville. it isnt that much different. Humidity is a Southern thing.

The technology is so easily reproduced, I avoid the big name brands these days. Many of the cheaper brands offer similar, if not better, quality and reliability, for a fraction of the price. I've had especially good luck with Insignia products from Best Buy.

As far as specific technologies, I haven't really researched them in a few years, but from what I last remember, OLED looked like a nice advancement in tech. Outside of that, 4k was still pretty useless due to extremely limited content in 4k. Maybe that has changed some in 4 years, but not sure. Certainly wouldn't go 8k yet unless you are just a top notch innovator/early adopter type that must have it and is willing to seek out the content yourself.

As for quality and how big the tv should be - most people overestimate. They sit in a store, 2 feet from the TV and see the difference between 4k and 1080p or 720p. In reality, no one sits 2 feet from 72" televisions. The best thing to do is measure how far you or your company will be sitting from the TV, then use a chart:
Display Size, Resolution, and Ideal Viewing Distance

OLED is worth the hype. LG is killing it in the TV game right now. They've also worked out all of the kinks since they first released them a few years ago.

Mountains schmounschmins. Beach life and breeze is one of the most soothing things out there. No shoes, you can punch a crab in the face, most Gator fans think you're packing when you wear the T so they dont say a word, very few bears, NO SNOW
But then where do you go hiking, tubing, fishing, camping, skiing, snowboarding, ya know...Tennessee shiz?

Bingo! We have a winner 🥳

That place was amazing, I snorkeled all around the little island...my goodness what a spectacular place. We were the first ones off the ship when they opened the gangway, and caught a taxi over to Red Hook ferry and caught the first ferry over to St John.

There are very few things in life that ever live up to expectations, but St. Thomas, St. John and Trunk Bay in particular, Old San Juan and the Damajagua waterfalls in the D.R. all vastly exceeded my expectations.
We did the same, it is an amazing place. I have pictures we took at that same overlook. One of the most beautiful spots in the world.

Florida is out for many reasons and basically all of the south. Wife is from AZ so she’s sensitive AF to humidity. Also needs mountains. She’s picky.
Colorado front range? I lived there for 6 years. Low humidity. Pretty dry except for snow in winter. Snow only sticks around for a week or so usually. Not too hot, not too cold. Lots of beers.

tubing, fishing and hiking are possible in Florida. Snowboarding requires snow, which is the devils powder, so who cares. In Florida you can realistically adopt the hobby of pirating the high seas.
