It's really not that surprising. Once you make 'enough', more isn't necessarily worth uprooting family and disrupting life. Being a storied program was clearly enough to get CRB to consider a move, but even with the huge bump in pay, it still didn't happen. At the WBB level, there simply isn't enough money to be made to be worth the pain of the move...particularly for successful coaches in established programs.

TERRIBLE take the 3 mentioned (Staley, Schaefer, and Mitchell) are currently 3 of the highest paid coaches in the SEC & Women's CBB already...

I know it's hard to believe, but a pay cut or even equal pay to come step into Pat's shadow isn't necessarily that appealing when all 3 are well paid and established where they are. Not to mention I think in the women's game especially most coaches aren't fans of staying in conference to compete against former schools/players.

Everyone can literally see what Hubbs just said. He is deriving his opinion from the practice segments we get to see too. Obviously he needs to keep improving every day. Of course he is going to be a bad tackler that small. I’m saying he’s stating the obvious and there’s not any real analysis in that answer.

All will do it. Not just one but any that we are competing for a recruit on. Can you sell around it? Absolutely. But it's naive to think it's not something there today that wasn't there last week.

it's weeeeaaaaakkkk. and no one should care that it can simply be said, when there are so many, much better, counters.

LOL, it's not a weak argument simply because you think it is. You are normally a very level headed sensible poster who I enjoy hearing your takes but if you don't think there is a negative side to this then I don't know what to say. After speaking with some this morning I can tell you some at UT are not happy about how this went down. Some of this falls on Fulmer and company for not handling some of these issues before now.
