Pretty sure they also only allow a franchise owner to own one store so that is their sole focus. They are well run.

There are definitely corporate requirements for every franchise, marketing and brand adherence at the minimum. McDonalds franchisees have to be at least worth $1M. Wouldn't surprise me if CFA had an "us only" rule. And seeing how packed that Gtown location is, that's gotta be enough money for the franchisee to quickly agree.

Every time you drive past, no matter what time of day, day of week, the drive-thru (both lanes) is packed. The parking lot is full. (First world problem-- I patron the Starbucks across the way and frequently struggle finding a spot due to overflow parking.) On Saturdays, I'm convinced that CFA location is the 5th largest municipality in the state.

It's an interesting concept, but it'd HAVE to be in a pedestrian-heavy area. That model wouldn't work anywhere in Memphis because people HAVE to drive places. Even if the inside experience is super fast, the logjam of oversized SUV's trying to get there is going to be an issue.

That said, if any fastfood chain can figure that problem out, I'd put the most confidence in CFA (Taco Bell a near second place)

I drive by that CFA in Germantown everyday, too. Ridiculous how busy it is.

If you are a fan of the Football Team, you should care about the LV’s.

When that program is run correctly and they are winning, they can be an asset to the AD and bring in serious revenue.

When they are losing, they serve as just another drain on the AD living like a parasite off the Football program.

Duke isn't inflating his draft status or his shoe deal size. All those would be the exact same if he had been allowed to enter the draft our of high school. Duke IS making a fortune off higher ticket prices, jersey sales, higher TV ratings that will pay fruits in future TV deals, video games rights, etc...

You're right the NBA is forcing him to play a year before entering the NBA. But using him and this situation to defend the blatant extortion and hypocrisy of the NCAA is ludicrous. In no other industry in America is the value added to the organization by such a small subset of employees so much greater than the value they get in return. And on top of it, what relatively tiny return they do get isn't even in cash form. The fact that people defend it is incredibly disappointing, un-American, and flat out irrational.

If your industry decided to only pay you in room and board and free classes for your first 1-4 years AND prohibited you from working any job anywhere else for actual cash, people would literally rise up and murder those in charge. And most of those people wouldn't individually add a fraction of the value football and basketball athletes add to their schools.
