Why do you feel the need to spin a narrative out of nothing? Rhetorical question.

Dude these post really aren't productive

The op asked is Johnson wasn't happy here and thus looking around. I simply answered by saying it could be that and or Pruitt being unhappy with him.

Nobody is spinning anything good grief

Lowest PoS fanbase in all of CFB imo. I hate them, Vandy fans are annoying, and so are UGA and Bammers, but as a whole they are not just bad people..The Florida fanbase has a disproportionate number of the lowest slimy filth of society.
You are right...…..all 11 Vandy fans are annoying. Went to a Vandy-UT game at Vandy years ago and decided on the walk to the stadium, to go back to my car and grab a heavier jacket. When I got to my car, I noticed someone had broken into it. Nothing missing but found 6 more game tickets on my dash!

I love how we as a society look to blame someone for failure.

Florida lost so they manufactured outrage over their celebration being used against them.

The wussification of America continues.

As fans, entire Neyland Stadium will mock them with the chomp when we win once every twenty years. It’s a part of sports. Don’t like it maybe being a fan isn’t for you. Suck it up buttercup.

Personally I’m for us assuming the bad guy role again.

You said the rumors meant that either Johnson wasn't happy or Pruitt wasn't happy. If you weren't trying to spin a narrative why did you limit the answer to only those explanations? Those aren't the only ones. Staff changes can be made without anyone being unhappy. But I know I could tell you a leaf fell in the forest and you'd say something like that clearly means that Terry fair is lazy and doesn't like to recruit. It's what you do. That's why a stated my original post was rhetorical. Cause I already knew the answer.

Gator chomp controversy is absurd. That's par for the course when UF loses an important game. It's like Auburn playing Rammer Jammer back to Bama when they beat them. Live by the taunt, die by the taunt.
It really is sweet to get criticized by the media and rival fan bases after kicking said rivals’ ass!

Was a great recruiter before he got there but at end of the day once on your resume they are there forever. It's smooth sailing as a recruiter once you built what he has. Easily point to clear facts of who is in NFL or had great college success. He has several fresh on these kids minds

BTW, I think Tee would be a good addition to the staff and if he comes, I hope he recruits the daylights out of the boards.

Before USCw he was at:
In 2009 he was as New Mexico with of course no chance to make a dent in recruiting status simply because of the location.
In 2010 and 2011 he was at UK with one pretty decent recruiting year and one very crappy doodoo year.
I don't see how that qualifies as a great recruiter before arriving at USC.

I get what you are saying about having a recruiting status because of USCw and how that is perceived from then on. If recruiting well at one of the most fertile recruiting schools in the nation, like most other position coaches would do, makes someone a great recruiter, then I guess that is just what it is.

From another angle, if he would have stayed at UK pulling in mostly 3* and the occasional 4*, then would he still be called a great recruiter?

I am just wondering if there is some other objective measure of what is and is not a good recruiter.

*Edit: changed the word subjective to objective.

Weinke and DJ have both been looking around. They have been for a minute. Heard Houston could be interested in a landing spot for DJ.
Really liked the DJ hire . Hope we keep him, if the offense is more cohesive we may see how good the receivers can be . I like Tee as he's a VFL but it's hard to say he would be a better WR coach. Heck would bama like to replace satan with on of their former championship QBS?

Who has Tee recruited as the primary recruiter?

Iman Marshall (5*)
Adoree Jackson (5*)
Amon-Ra St. Brown (5*)
JuJu Smith-Schuster (5*)
Rasheem Green (5*)
Oluwule Betiku (5*)
Jack Jones (5*)
Leon McQuay (5*)
Joseph Lewis (5*)
Damien Mama (4*)

Has 9 5*s, 19 4*s. He is a very good, maybe elite recruiter. Good to great position coach. Just not a great OC yet. Would be a great hire.

Oh good grief.

If johnson wants to stay and Pruitt is happy with the job he's doing then he stays.

If he leaves there is a reason.
My goodness

Good Lord.

When are people going to get over athletes having a little fun while playing a game lmao. Most annoying take across sports right now. These kinds of moments add to the entertainment
The problem (for you and other people like you that don't understand the boundaries of good sportsmanship, not me) is a culture of honorable sportsmanship that has been around since sports began. You do not understand it, because you can't think outside of your little box anymore than the hardline, stick up their arse traditionalists.

I am a centrist on this. I think there should be some boundaries of sportsmanship, but I think guys should be able to have fun also, as long as they don't cross a line. Fanbases like UFs deserve what they get.

I hate Florida and love Williams and Admiral. With that said I'd admonish them if i was Coach Barnes. Just Not a fan of those actions after winning.
I am sure you would not have done it after the things the fans were saying to them, if you were them, Ole' Holy One.

You think the Mutombo finger wag is classless.

You aren’t anywhere close to centrist on this lol

If a tree falls in the forest and bruin hears it will he make up some negative narrative about it? Rhetorical question.
