Is this confirmed anywhere? I honestly don't know.

Also, proactively bad mouthing your previous employer, in the college coaching world, is typically a bad career move regardless of the reason/justification.

There was a clause in his contract about the buyout being waived if he got a head coaching position and with the request. of Pruitt.

Did anyone happen to catch the Doug Matthew pod cast last Sunday, 12/9/18? He always has an interesting topic of conversation but this particular one was interesting. He named every coordinator for UT, both offense and defense, from Majors to Pruitt.

I found it interesting because he was basically saying that a number of the coordinators were considered "no name" coordinators when they were hired but became very good during their time at UT. Could he be greasing the wheel a little bit prior to the OC hire? Just a little food for thought ;);););)
That and citing facts. That applies to other programs as well. Your major “big name” OC’s are generally plying their craft with the HC that gave them that opportunity. When they move on it’s for their own gig.

I mean, I guess Price is lying by making up an elaborate story about having a picture of Wright in a classroom, 🤷‍♂️.

If AV says he’s there now I’ll believe it. But if JAllen is right it would be the first time. I still remember “welcome coach Gundy”
Why is Price taking pictures of kids in classrooms?

Lol, I scrolled through three pages of debate about whether or not we are struggling for an OC because Pruitt is a big meanie, that says stuff about what kind of offense he wants.
3rd page, I finally looked at the thread title again to make sure I was in the right forum.
WTH?

imagine the level of disdain you'd have to have to willfullly not only smear CJP when people called you to ask, but to then also pick up the phone and actively smear him proactively.

i don't buy that. i think Helton is a head coach now, and if he's devoting any energy to smearing pruitt, then he's probably not half the coach some of thought he was.

i think it's probably more like "no, it wasn't easy. it wasn't what i thought it was going to be. the roster wasn't good enough to do what he wanted to do, and i didn't really get to do what i thought might work...we just were on different pages from the jump"

that, i would believe. that he's dialing up coaches and doing something else? nope.

There was a clause in his contract about the buyout being wived if he got a head coaching position and with the request. of Pruitt.

So, I think this helps prove the point that Helton was looking for a HC job before he even took the UT OC job. WKU was a perfect spot for him since he had coached there before as an assistant.

As for an NDA, i'm not an expert in coaching employment/termination agreements. But, I think it's pretty common in the corporate world for termination agreements and the like to include confidentiality and non-disparagement clauses. At any rate, I think it's a big stretch to suggest that Helton is out there proactively criticizing UT as a workplace.

I do occasionally. Bet huge on Tenn ML against Kentucky. I also bet against us vs Florida but that didn't even ease the pain

I might bet memphis tomorrow.
Classic letdown spot.
I don't think memphis is good enough to beat us but I think we play with a hangover and it's close. I expect the line to be 10
Or so. If it's more I may take memphis

Vols open at -9.5

Wish it was higher
