Understand any backlash but assistant vs HC is different. It also was a combination of things on Schiano. Schiano was butch on steriods. Also had all the Tampa stuff. He isn't a good coach.

Briles has had two jobs since Baylor so clearly something has been vetted twice with no issues. His dad is the one that has the trouble.

Anybody listening to the Swain Event live stream? Supposedly Brice was saying that Tennessee staffers were being told to ready a Hugh Freeze presser before the hire was squashed by someone or some group of people

Schiano would be the face of the program. Briles would not. Schiano was implicated under sworn testimony in a court of law. No charges against Briles and he KEPT HIS JOB AT BAYLOR. Has been hired twice since. Schiano is an AZZHOLE and about to be fired.

Brice knows less than I do about this coaching search. He knows nothing.

Lol they aren't going to get over this stuff. Maybe the real story is the Liberty job changed everything not any boosters. Timing wise that is when everything went south on the rumors when Turner gill unexpectedly resigned. Imo Hugh had to then decide if he could work under others or rehab himself as a HC at a place that plays into his rehab/religious angle

Like it or not the Schiano debacle changed things for this University (and nationally). I donā€™t see how you can protest a guy who may have been involved in the worst collegiate rape scandal of all time, but pull for a guy who may have been involved in arguably the second worse. A lot of yā€™all like to say thereā€™s a media bias against Tennessee now, but the university will be absolutely vilified if this hire is made.

Did anyone say the oline was good. You said it was Friend and myself and many others have said you are full of it. Who in all of football and not just college , could or would have made anything of this mess. Do you know or even ever played football (not Xbox or the electric football game). The backs missed holes a lot, the lineman missed blocks a lot, the qb held ball too long a lot, injuries all yr. All kinds of problems and you can honestly are pinning this all on the coach. Get real pal!
