I'm just a man who doesn't give a doo doo what folks think on an anonymous message board. I think it's kind of weak when people try to be popular on here and don't share their true thoughts 100% of the time because of it. I don't do anything but spit truth on here, and I challenge you to find something I haven't been correct on from a macro standpoint.
We are all wrong about a lot of things. We all see that.

I actually agree with quite a few of your opinions and points. I just wish you would give some consideration to other people who have equally valid opinions. It seems from your posts that you do not but that's jmo.

You haven't look hard enough.

“That was a Mickey Mouse presentation on the field,’’ said VFL Fuad Reveiz during the Football Finals radio show after the game.
I like Fuad. His hot takes are meh, though. He knows what it's like to be on a college and NFL team. I am not sure he is the best subject matter expert when it comes to evaluating offensive and defensive schemes.

Agreed on X/Os somewhat even though I'd put his knowledge above any of the media guys. He hasn't lived that Part of it but he deserves to be heard on this issue. He's a VFL and his son gave his all as well.

Idk Bruin. Heather Harrington is pretty good at breaking down an offense.

this narrative that our fanbase is going to have an adverse relationship with it's coach is just not right.

i'll conceded that i understand why it may exist in some circles, it's easy and lazy to connect some dots and say "see told ya".

but the reality is if you care to find out, the vast majority of the fans unrest over the past few years has been directed at the UT administration and boosters that ran this thing in to the ground.

so whether it was the empty neyland (which didn't work at all btw) or the protests or whatever, the targets for those things was not the coach per se. it was the folks above their heads. (any criticism Butch got the last 1.5 years he was here, he earned).

the attempt by many to just say the fans in Knoxvile are effin crazy and it's a bad situation for any coach is just wrong. ot say that we're just waiting to turn on a coach is just wrong. it's the opposite actually. we want a coach we can embrace. we want to get behind a coach. we WILL BE and HAVE BEEN very loyal to coaches in the past.

i think what's happened with this fan base is the culmination of just AWFUL leadership at the top, we recognized it, and got tired of it. we do care.

any unrest you see right now, in regards to the new AD or new Staff, is more about the frustration of simply having to be patient..........AGAIN. if there are people our there, and i'm sure there are, that truly want pruit fired or for phil to resign or whatever, my advice, don't even enterain the conversation cause they're morons, and not worth the time or effort to even engage in such nonsense.

the VAST majority of TN fans (who don't call in to radio shows or post here) will probably tell you what most sane people would think they would. that we have to be patient, and this year has had some ups and downs, but you can see "progress". even for those that may have questions about pruitt and co, even most of those know the real answers aren't going to be found for a year or 2.

and virtually no one outside the program is going to look at this season (no matter what happens on Saturday) and say "yeah, that's definitely going in the wrong direction down in Knoxville"...it just isn't gonna happen (unless you're Aaron Murray or David Pollack lol).

anywho.

rant over.

Happy Thanksgiving VolNation..love you guys..well some of you anyways, 😁 and I'm sitting here in the office at my moms big house, in my dearly missed stepdads office chair, looking out the big bay window, and watching my moms 20 strong herd of deer bed down under a big oak tree 100 yards from me, and musing on the beauty of God's art, my great family, life and love..and being thankful.

probably your best post ever. Have a great day!!!!

Yeah, but what does the game have to do with this debate?

For me I want to see a coach embrace the traditions of his once rival. The jury is still out on that imo. It won't matter in the end if he wins big AND stays but it would be in his and the vibe around programs best interest if he embraced tradition more openly. I know that isn't in his nature but he needs to bend a little on that imo

Pruitt is a players' coach. It's well documented that players come first, and most of his former players have always sung his praises on that.

I doubt seriously he willingly, deliberately, did something that would upset the Apple cart in that regard.

Admittedly I haven't looked, but I'm all the discussion about this I don't think I've seen any current players come out and complain about it.

Herd of deer? What? You're lucky I'm not there. If there was a decent sized buck out there I believe I'd have to lay him down.

I had not heard of this. Thanks for the education. I realize that it is a long lasting tradition, but I really don't think it is a big deal in the long run. We can agree to disagree though.

It's possible the players wanted to do it this way but no way would they publicly complain

Even if so imo Fulmer should have stepped in

Me: opens window slowly, points gun, enjoys deer meat for the month of December.
