That’s just not true. I think he didn’t know the tradition. Message board rumor mongering - nothing more.

I find it much more likely that Pruitt dictated what was going to be done on senior day than he was just failed to be told the tradition. Even still disappointed Fulmer didn't firmly step in and say this is the way it's been done and is going to be done.

I guess it's possible. It seems pretty petty to me. My drill sergeant was the same way, though, and we hated him until we realized he was trying to mold our tender young asses into soldiers.

Doubt it. He was concerned with football in that day, and in general, he doesn’t care one way or the other for things like that, but no way he would take a dump in the tradition for literally no reason.
I will buy things over the next 48 hours, but this theory is not one of them

I'm just a man who doesn't give a doo doo what folks think on an anonymous message board. I think it's kind of weak when people try to be popular on here and don't share their true thoughts 100% of the time because of it. I don't do anything but spit truth on here, and I challenge you to find something I haven't been correct on from a macro standpoint.

Nick,

Many coaches over the years have expressed their displeasure with the attention individuals get on senior day claiming they hurt the players performances.
It mentioned Much more frequently in basketball but I could easily see Pruitt like you say was only concerned with football wanting his players to be less distracted.
You actually mention the reason he would want to change the tradition

That’s fine. It’s your point of view and there is no basis for it other than reading between lines, IMO. Your entitled to conjecture, but let’s admit it’s 100% “I wonder if...” speculation.

No doubt it's speculation and to be honest just from a winning only matters standpoint I don't blame Pruitt or any other coach from wanting senior day as low key as possible.
Heck iirc correctly some schools do their senior day ceremonies after games in hoops for said reason.

Oversights happen. Its regrettable but we will get it figured out as Pruitt settles into this job and working with Fulmer. We have bigger things to worry about right now.
