First INT happened because OL failed to protect JG and failed to chip the DL that caught the ball, or you could argue that JG held onto the ball a little too long. Second INT was just a great read by the defender, $&@! Happens. All those fumbles had ZERO to do with play calling. The reality is that if you take away the turnovers, that game is at least going to the 4th quarter.
Nobody blocked them, nobody focused on them. Their assignments were not to rush the passer, they had ZERO affect on JG getting hit and our oline
They weren’t delayed rushersI didn’t say they affected JG getting hit. But them delaying a blitz meant they sent 7. That left 4 DB’s on 3 WR’s. I don’t know what their assignments were but they were clearly running toward the QB as JG got hit. You knew they weren’t going to cover any of the WR’s from that side of the field. I have no idea what routes we ran but the middle was wide open because they brought their front 7. No one knows if JG was really throwing anyway because a QB usually cocks when he feels pressure.
But we did have the turnovers. We will lose to Charlotte if we turn the ball over six times and the don’t.

Turnovers and penalties are what lost us the game yesterday.
Good news, both are correctable.
Bad news, the OL isn’t.
Wood Anderson was open for a TD in the redZone but got held so bad on a no call. College offenses rarerly use a tight end heavily so as long as he catches a couple TDS and first downs then it’s par for the course even for good tight ends.Posters keep pointing out the first pick was on the Jordan and Woods-Anderson not blocking the right guy. Jordan has done very little right since WVU. Woods-Anderson is not getting open and is dropping passes. So who keeps playing those guys? When they are out there other players potentially better suited are on the sidelines. If the coaches haven't figured that out yet, I guess I misjudged how good they are.
The biggest headscratcher for me was running Jordan backed up at our own goal line. It seems to be physically impossible for him to do anything but bounce outside and miss holes. Why he was the go to in our own end zone is beyond me.Posters keep pointing out the first pick was on the Jordan and Woods-Anderson not blocking the right guy. I think if we put Trey at LG again at least we should get a decent push there to run the ball and convert short yardage.
Adjust our passing game to get the ball out quick to help our guards.

Do some of you guys even football? The team has been in orange jerseys and Pruitt is calling the defensive plays. He is wearing white so he doesn't blend in on the sidelines to the players trying to receive the signal. This not wearing orange mess has to be the stupidest bs I've ever seen on Volnation.
I think that second part is the biggest thing they can do. Need to just start throwing it quickly. These long progressions don’t work.I think if we put Trey at LG again at least we should get a decent push there to run the ball and convert short yardage.

I would have been fine with it. We proved repeatedly that when they knew we were running, the OL got caved in.I thought that was one of those time when we should’ve just took a couple shots down field. Try to get a PI (haha) or a catch. We consistently had steps on their CBs. Even if we threw a pick it was an INT
Yeah, maybe this.
And, while Richmond was imperfect while playing LT last year, seems like he was less bad there, than he has been at RT this year. And I thought LT was harder to play than RT. Thoughts?
