I guess I wasn’t clear. I think Pruitt ball is not a good matchup for WVU’s style of play, not a bad match up for us. I’m guessing it all depends on how much system//style/attitude he is able to install, and if our guys come out and play angry.

What are you talking about when you say “Pruitt ball”? Scheme? Or what. I’m confused.

I was thinking more attitude than scheme. Tough, smash them in the mouth vs. the finesse game we were trying to play under Jones.

Although it looks better than what we tried to do during the last year of Jones’s tenure, WVU seems like a similar finesse style to me. And I’m not just saying that because it’s spread offense.

To me it’s a good match up vs WVU. We will probably run it 40 times. Slow the game down and try and press and grab them on the outside. The slower and “mukier” the game ... the better for us.

In a stunning revelation Monday, the Journal of the American Medical Association published research that revealed that up to EIGHT cups of coffee per day had no association with any adverse effects!
No association with increased risk/incidence of cancer/heart diseases/renal or liver diseases or Diabetes among others. No association with osteoporosis either...

Not quite as shocking the concurrent research on the intake of the same amount of sodas had a strong causative association with Diabetes, heart/liver/renal diseases, definite high association with erectile dysfunction, decreased mental capacity and overall decrease in common sense.... the last 3 were significantly and statistically higher in Dr. Peeper drinkers...

Not sure what to expect from Tuttle this year. Rewatching the spring game and he was just not into it at all. Right before halftime they showed Bituli absolutely giving him the business on the sideline.

Knowing what happened last year with him, anyone have any idea what’s going on?

I wear my ED like a badge of honor. Doctor.

KSU’s tiny running back had over 100 yards in the first half. Run the ball 40+ times, set up some play action for JG, and get a turnover or two and we will win.

Saw it also, gave some respect to Bituli when I saw that.

100% baseless specultion here, but I kind of think maybe Tuttle knew he had a spot wrapped up starting and was maybe coasting a bit. Could have been worried about getting reinjured in a meaningless scrimmage. That or he had some injuries nagging him anyway.

Either way, he’s usually shown a good motor in the past, even when he wasn’t in the best shape as a freshman. He knows this is his last shot at showing out and getting drafted. I think we see better effort from him this fall.

If he can stay healthy and play to his potential, a big piece of our defensive puzzle will be solved.

I’ll get roasted for this but Muchamp has done a good job of building that team.

I could really see them winning the East this year if Georgia has a slight downswing.

I don’t like him, but always felt he was a pretty good coach. Sure he had QB issues at Florida and was oddly tied to Roper, but injuries killer those teams.

I thought he would do well as USCe, and he is

Yea i agree. I don’t wanna get in a throwing shootout with will Grier

To be honest this is what I’m expecting. A 38-35 type shoot out. Grier is legitimately good and will make some plays on our secondary, I have no doubt. But I think we will score on them as well. Will have a Big 12 feel to it I think.

If Pruitt had Bama’s talent on our defense I think we would end Grier’s Heisman shot in week 1. I just don’t think we have horses up front and in the secondary to consistently shut him down for 60 minutes.

We will see though. I expect a highly entertaining game and I am prepared for any outcome.

I have a toddler. My ED is because he likes to get out of bed at night. I'm setting landmines in the hall as we speak.

My toddler keeps accidentally hitting me in places she shouldn't be hitting me in.... I think she wants to be an only child

I think Sapp plays over ignont.

Yeah unless DK Jr makes a much better comeback than most are expecting from a health standpoint, then I think Sapp and Bituli will be our primary ILBs this year. It will be interesting to see if/how much they sub guys in and out situationally. I think we've got 4 ILBs who bring something nice to work with to the table. Ignont and Bituli are the thumpers. DK and Sapp bring more quickness and ability to cover ground to the table. I like Reid's upside too, but I'm not sure he takes many snaps away from those 4 this year.

Gotta hope we have all our OL ready to go and Friend brings them along quickly. If we can win the LOS and run effectively, we'll have a good shot at the upset IMO. I think this could be a game where the RB by committee approach could really help us. Depending on whether Banks is ready or not, we should have 3-4 guys with varying skillsets available to wear down their defense.

My team has never lost when I’ve purchased tickets to a game.

I bought 6 tickets and will be in attendance vs WVU.

As such, we will win. It’s science.
