They must have a few ace recruiters. I mean what’s the pitch? Kentucky has better football history. They’ve had a couple decent seasons in a historically down East (which is now over), but they’ve never won the SEC and never will, not to mention their stadium is a dump. I’d hate to play there 7 times a year!

The players make sure the recruits pay 5 points a visit lol.

They have Muschamp, TRob, Lance Thompson, and Bryan McClendon. All elite recruiters. Here’s the thing though: the stuff our fans are saying about our recruiting is the exact same thing people here in Columbia were saying about Muschamp’s recruiting. They missed on so many 4 and 5 stars these past few years (Xavier Thomas, josh belk, Channing tindall, the list goes on and on).

BUT it hasn’t mattered too much. You know why? Because Muschamp and crew, just like Pruitt and our staff, know how to evaluate and develop talent. Butch didn’t have a damn clue how to do that. I mean the guy was so stupid that he kept Alvin MFing Kamara on the bench. Think of how stupid someone has to be to do that.

I am very confident we are going to see the same thing here at Tennessee. Just need to be patient. The kids were are signing are legit football players in my opinion. I’m excited about a lot of the players in the 2018 class and this 2019 already looks really good and has the potential to be top 10

This is like when someone burns the skin off your body with an insult, so you just mock their laugh because you don't have a response. I'd expect nothing more from you, Jave. I'll keep waiting till your Google searches turn up what you're looking for....

Busts happen. Hopefully he isn’t one. The reason I’m not writing him off yet is he hasn’t played in the secondary since HS. I didn’t expect him to dominate in the spring learning a new (in college) position and a new scheme.

I wonder which 2 linebackers he was talking about. Were the both ILB or do OLB count. I would guess Bituli was one. But can't think of another ILB. Maybe Taylor or another OLB?

Ignont? Taylor very possible too. I doubt it was DK since he’s been injured

Dude, this is basic human intelligence 101 that a middle schooler would easily know and see the fallacy in your premise. I really truly don't believe you're that dense; I think you're being obstinate because you realize you're wrong but don't want to admit it.

Think about it. You really think the ONLY reason someone makes a prediction is because they hope they'll be right? No one EVER makes a prediction for something they hope won't happen? No one predicts unfortunate events? That's what your premise is based on. See how absurd it is?

I’m not sure that Byrd is in a precarious position after 3 weeks of practice. We are going by 7-10 minutes of what the media sees?

I just don’t think this roster is so bad that even a good coach shouldn’t get 6 wins. We’re bad at two positions, basically. We have potential at most.

I just keep thinking back to 2013 and how much worse our 2 deep was on paper than it will be this year, how much tougher our schedule was than it will be this year, and how that team was 2 Pig Howard mistakes from being 7-5 despite it all.


If Pruitt is a good coach, he won’t fail to make a bowl game. If he can’t make one this year, we’ll know he’s not cut out to be a HC yet.

Ok..so looked back to see what that was about, I had forgotten posting..4-8.
That was kind of sneaky Darth. I never predicted 4-8 as acceptable this year. That post was in response to one by Ron where he said 13 was a worse roster than this one..My response was last season's record...4-8.

I didn't say 4-8 was acceptable this season. Thanks for trying to make everybody believe I did.

You're abstracting the discussion. Of course, people need to make dire predictions some times. Those people are economists and scientists, not sports fans.

What purpose does that particular prediction serve, other than to make Chief feel good if/when he's right. Is he trying to stop it from happening, or reminding everyone that he thinks it's going to happen?

I don't think this is a championship team. But I don't feel the need to remind folks in every post. There's a pattern with him, and it isn't a pattern of fanaticism.
