Pretty sure the Schianomo would have happened with or without the Gruden thread lol.

People tried to talk sense and there are some good people that posted in that thread but this time was the all time most delusional thread possibly in VN history.

Excited about CJP after getting to know how resume more I'm surprised we will be his first HC gig. Bammers are pissed and that's always a good thing!

It was an all-time high. No doubt. Why those trolls are still allowed to post here is beyond me. They should've been banned in 2012 much less 2017.

Can’t see anybody on defense except possibly Rashaun leaving early at this point. It would be dumb.

At this point, if you’re on this defense, you’ve got an opportunity to vastly improve your stock with some real coaching and also a built-in excuse if you don’t.

NFL guys are going to be able to look at us and see who is playing out of position.

It's funny. I hoped it was Gruden and spent a lot of time in there. Just the collective hope of that thread built a really cool community (although s bit crazy). It also introduced me to Twitter which I had never really used before. Here's to me posting more and often and lurking less!!

Why? I think it’s badass tbh. It also shows he’s got loyalty and not gonna bail on his guys. Scott Frost is coaching a meaningless bowl game.

Yeah I'm not worried about defense. I believe he will bring in a top notch defensive staff and with his background in the secondary they will definitely have an edge.

Offense will be a BIG question mark. What is his style going to be? Also, who he brings in on that side of the ball is going to be the most important hire other than S&C.

As long as he can be here for most of the 2nd recruiting weekend I think it's a big positive. But Bama starts practice the 15th so it'll be interesting to see how he manages that

If he gets an OC and DC in place while he is coaching the playoffs that will be fine for me. I'm sure UT will fly him back and forth before/after practice for recruits and visits it's not that far to Tuscaloosa from Knoxville just a 30 min plane ride.

If Pruitt did end up leaving, it would affect the Tide on the recruiting trail. Pruitt is one of the top recruiters in the country. He won the 2012 247Sports Recruiter of the Year award and has recruited players such as Derrick Henry, Jalen Ramsey, Ryan Anderson, T.J. Yeldon and Dylan Moses over the years. In my two-plus years covering Alabama recruiting, I’ve heard nothing but positives from players about their love for Pruitt. I know he has a reputation for being a tough guy, but players seem to universally love playing for him.
