It's all going to come down to what assistants he hires and salvaging this recruiting class

The first part, I agree. The second part, not so much. I think he will put together a very solid class, but that class should have been the least of our concerns in hiring a coach.

I can also proudly proclaim that I did not venture into the FF Gruden thread even one time. I will not say that I did not believe just a little bit that it might happen, but I think we ended up with a great coach and I am ready to ride with Pruitt for a few years.

I think our BEST CASE scenario in that game would be a final score of:

Clemson 3
Bama 0

That way, Bama loses but our new Coach’s defense looks good.

Clemson’s defense is one of the best I’ve ever watched. Their entire dline is going to go in the first round of the draft this year or next. I fully expect them to shut Hurts down and Clemson’s offense to have enough explosive plays to win.

CU-21
Bama-9

He will wisely decline, IMO

Got it made where he is, building his own legacy, and most important... NOT following in Saban’s footsteps

Very likely. But by then he may have accomplished everything he had set out to accomplish at Clemson and may want a ring with his alma mater. 🍻 Here's to hoping Pruitt is so successful here that Bama wants him over Dabo!!! But he turns them down because of what he has built here. GBO!!!

I’m excited about this hire and the possible recruiting class, but I still think 6-6 or 7-5 next year. Injuries, new coaches/scheme, players that haven’t been giving it their all to this point in the S&C program. Going to be a rough first year. But I expect big things after that.

Does the 3-4 have any effect on Mckenzie potentially declaring? If doesn't see himself as a NT I could see him leaving

For the record, I was on board with hiring Tucker. With that being said excited about the change in mentality and the recruiting prowess he brings.

Let's get it.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but isn't it sooooo much fun wading through the 13-year-old-girl types of responses to which most on here have resorted?

My God, people, get ahold of yourselves. How many highs and lows is it going to take for you to realize that you need to wait on official announcements to have a reaction. And, when that happens, be a freaking adult about it. Disappointment is fine, but some of y'all need to get a grip.

/rant.

This is from less than 2 days, and over 6,000 posts ago. Some of you "guys" need to take a lap, better yet...take a few laps, and learn how to navigate situations like this a bit more maturely.

OK, back to celebrating!

I am actually pretty impressed by that.

Hope you guys are rested up because the RF is now

I am extremely well rested. It's been a pleasure being relaxed knowing Coach Phillip Freaking Fulmer was in charge the last 6 days. Slept like a baby having full trust in a man that has lived out his life in Orange.
