Must be nice to expect championships so much that Alabama writes it into coaches contracts that they have to stay to coach in the playoffs. I wonder if Butch and crew had a similar clause for the Music City Bowl.

He absolutely will stay for the playoffs. It is likely written in his contract.

I heard somewhere that Saban is so used to losing coaches that it is written into the contract. But he has a room for the leaving coaches to do their new coaching gig.

Expect a visit from Big Newt's ghost if that happens, just sayin.'

Saw it on Twitter. Don't know where. But Kirby was at UGA for 10 days then went back to Bama and prepped for playoff/split time doing UGA stuff. Worked out all right for him I'd say.

What? Pruitt would be in Knoxville fully at work. Just like Kirby was during the same time period for your school.

jobiwan is correct, I remember thinking how strange it was that Kirby was employed by UGA and working for Bama.

Report: Alabama's Jeremy Pruitt a top contender for Tennessee job

Pruitt won two national championships (2011 and 2012) while at Alabama. He won a third title at Florida State in 2013.

The Rainsville, Alabama native was a finalist for the 2013 and 2016 Broyles Award, given each year to the best college football assistant coach.

Pruitt’s teams put up impressive defensive numbers, often ranking in the top 10 in the country in points and yards per game.

2013: Florida State: 1st in points per game, 3rd in yards per game
2014: Georgia: 25th in points per game, 18th in yards per game
2015: Georgia: 9th in points per game, 8th in yards per game
2016: Alabama 1st in points per game, 1st in yards per game
2017: Alabama: 1st in points per game, 2nd in yards per game

Were UG commits dropping like flies like ours are? Didn't follow.

There was no early signing that year. This is the first time teams must deal with Dec 20th signings.

Before they still had time to react to non-early enrollees between bowl games and first week in February.

I can see Fulmer being an intermediary for this

Heard it was in contract for him to stay, and they provide separate office for Tennessee related activities.

Seems awkward.

Kiffin spent most of his time in Florida recruiting and staff building. They’re not going to seize Pruitt’s passport.
