Another plus with a Pruitt hire is the media narrative shifts immediately. We are seeing it already! No one at ESPN, CBS, Fox, etc is going to say anything but positive things about Pruitt- Saban's highest paid coordinator and best recruiter. And we need that narrative to shift quickly from the past 2 weeks.

I don’t think it would be bad for us for him to coach the playoffs. Every time the camera pans on him they’ll say “the new head coach of the Tennessee volunteers has his defense playing lights out tonight.” Plus I likely think he’ll be able to recruit for us when he’s not practicing and game planning.

As much as it hurts me to even consider this. Do we root for Bama :sick: in the playoffs since it will make Pruitt look better if they win?

Bruin says that all the coaches have it built into their contract to stay throughout the playoffs. Smart and Kiffin both stayed but with Saban firing Kiffin after only one playoff game last year, maybe he’s adjusted that mindset. UGA isn’t a permanent opponent like Tennessee, and he might not want the new HC of such going to to opposing back and forth during critical recruiting season. His defense is fine tuned and Pruitt’s possible heir could get the same. :dunno:
