My gripe is PFF rewards players that play less snaps. Bolton was our 2nd highest graded LB with 8 snaps…

If MSU ran for all 8 of those and the DL made the play how do you grade that?

It's not always a ranking. They just grade the snaps. It's not meant to say "his grade was higher therefore he was the more valuable player." It's just a grade of however many snaps each player had.

When they do use their grades as a ranking system, they always set a minimum of snaps.

Henderson & Haynesworth are probably the 2 best DTs to play here - and they played on the same line.

That’s a ridiculously high standard.

SDE - ‘83 Reggie White
DT - ‘00 John Henderson
DT - ‘01 Albert Haynesworth
LEO - ‘97 Leonard Little

Anything short of THAT isn’t up to standard! :/

Doug Atkins was better than all of them. If they had kept sack stats back in his day it’s possible he’d still be on top in record books college and pro.

I say keep the 3 man rotation - it’s a long season and we need them healthy. Lewis isn’t some huge drop off.

We need a 3 man rotation, but Morris is more dynamic.

Lewis just isn’t the gifted runner the other 3 are.

Few musings

George looks great but unfortunately he's just so thin. I don't think he's quite ready to handle a full season physically. Aguilar will definitely be the guy going into game one imo.

Physically the freshman are quite impressive. David Sanders is a man. Brame, Radarious Jackson, Morris, Dye.

Linebackers will be the best we've had in a long time.

No real dynamic playmakers on offense it seems (right now at least).

Secondary will be better if McCoy comes back even close to healthy. DL isn't as twitchy but is really solid.

I'd expect OL to be better than last year. Moe was a good pickup. Pendleton is just a body. Perry will be good. Heard and Warren are in better shape.

QB play is really just a killer right now. Nico (and Carnell Tate) really hosed us as this could've been a real championship caliber team.

Doesn't feel like we have dominant DTs like we once did. I'm old. I was spoiled by Big John and Albert playing side by side.

Just wait to you see the 6’5 300lb dancing bear, who can also give you 20/20 on a basketball court. He’ll be back next week and will be CRG highest drafted tackle since Derrick Brown(that one still hurts).
