If he'd stop panicking, trust the OL (which will also likely get him killed at UCLA), and get through his reads, he may be alright.Dude's best attribute is his running ability, which will end up getting him injured in conference play.
I think that post was in re: MateerIf he'd stop panicking, trust the OL (which will also likely get him killed at UCLA), and get through his reads, he may be alright.
I have never seen anyone mess their career up so bad in less than 4 months. He was sitting shotgun inside of a gold mine and crushed it like an empty diet-rite can.
OMG I freaking hate the stupid buffoons that infest this fanbase...what a bunch of freaking waterhead morons....I saw an asinine poll in the FF asking if the quarterback success under Heupel has been because of him or because of the talent of the quarterbacks. And almost half of the people really think that Heupel is just getting lucky with his QBs. I get that these guys have all been really talented, but it takes a great coach to squeeze every ounce of potential out of his QBs the way Heupel has. Just a reminder that....
Heupel's QBs have been:
-A benched Virginia tech QB
-A guy who throws the ball 70 yards when you need 10
-An overrated 7 on 7 QB who can't process a second read when he's not wearing pajamas
-An App State QB with a turnover problem who was 3000 miles away during spring practice.
Josh Heupel has coached those guys to a combined:
66% completion rating
97 Touchdowns
19 interceptions
39-16 record while building a team from the ground up and dealing with harsh recruiting restrictions.
Oh and by the way, this is all during the most talented-rich era of the SEC
It's Heupel's system. It's always been Heupel's system but it's also his coaching. He can scheme guys open all day long, but he also knows what it's like to play championship level football at the quarterback position. I can't think of many, if any other coaches who can really say that. He has been exactly where those guys have been and he knows what to say to them when they have questions. He's a true QB whisperer and people are finally starting to take notice again.
To say that Heupel has "gotten lucky" with his quarterback talent and play on the field is honestly an insult to the dedication that man has put into this job. Keep questioning him. People questioned his OL and WR this offseason. Look at us now.
I am convinced some of those morons have to be rival fans just trying to jerk our fanbase around.OMG I freaking hate the stupid buffoons that infest this fanbase...what a bunch of freaking waterhead morons....
Seriously how can ANYBODY be that stupid?..much less a good chunk of thus fanbase.
Piss on these jackasses..and if any of you in here agree with that monumental load of pure idiot...then piss on you.

After a lifetime of watching sports and being a member of sports fandoms, I've discovered that a lot of people are looking for reasons to be upset or disappointed to confirm their preconceived notions about the world. Were those same people to just start looking for the positives instead of the negatives, their entire lives would change for the positive. Pretty sure there's something in the Bible about this. I can't remember where.I am convinced some of those morons have to be rival fans just trying to jerk our fanbase around.
Because half this fanbase are freaking stupid garbage just crapping on our coach every time they get a chance...criticism just feeds the stupid f'n trolls abd I hate them.Nicely said. Not sure why so many want to attack posters when everyone loves Heupel but you can still question some decisions.
Some of the people I know literally played on that field. And it wasnāt recently. It was when we played for championships. But yes, they know nothing.Opinions are fine. Informed opinions are much more worthwhile. That was more the point that the other poster was trying to make. You and your football buddies don't have near enough of the actual needed information to make good, informed opinions. CJH did not "run for a FG" in that possession. We ran plays that gave us the best chance to gain yards based on where we were on the field and the type of defense that was being played. If the OL/TE/RB execute the plas that were called we would have easily been in the Red Zone with a chance to score a TD. This hilarious echo chamber of "we got conservative and just played for the FG" after the TO is patently false. It is not an opinion.
They played on the field, so they know everything...you're not allowed to think they are wrong...by the way, since they are such brilliant football minds, why ain't they coaching?I still contend that we did everything right. We played it right. Just kick a damn field goal. And I appreciate that the kid manned up and said he didn't do his job. We gonna be aight.

I can't believe I have to further explain my previous post to several of you. Richard G West is acting like he has connections to the program when, in reality, all he is doing is regurgitating stuff mentioned in VN posts.
no goldarn rasa frassit...
when i think crackers and their barrels, i think of the Johnson's of Rock Ridge
They mostly won the game because a 3* TF CB that shouldn't have even played in this game couldn't do anything to stop a ball thrown in his direction from being caught for a whole game.. they absolutely torched that poor kid the whole game..They needed a hurry up, power or bunch package. Use those TE's. Or run up and let QB sneak it. You dont go to locker room with three TO's, and :07. I get it, i'm not faulting Huep. Georgia has been there and it shows.
That's why they won that game. Not because of anything else.
