This was an appeal to the 6th Circuit from the District Court's decision to grant more eligibility. Instead of his attorney conceding that the issue is moot (Pavia is already playing), he kept his argument and stacked on the 5 to play 5 argument. Kind of a free argument. Was a lost cause if his lawyer did file a suit for another playing year..... hopefully the days of 7,8,9,12 year players will be done very Soon...
I think JA is doing it on purpose, so I won’t knock the throw. Pope talks about JA’s passes being “catchable” and I think that’s what he means: the ball turns over and comes down in a way that gives the WR a great chance to make the play. UGA’s DBs panicked in single coverage twice when the ball was slower than expected, and Brazzell played through the contact really, really well. When there’s a safety, however, the ball was picked pretty easily. It’s darn effective in certain situations. I wonder of teams will adjust or if JA will take some of the arc out.I agree with this. Brazell made a great play both times. They weren’t great throws. JA was trusting his guy to win the jump ball.
JMO we don’t have the defense to make the playoffs. Need to strike gold on the injury front and get Moi and McCoy back (Austin Price said October for McCoy this morning).I’m pumping the breaks on playoff talk until we figure out the injury timelines. We’re going to be playing a lot more close games like Saturday and these injuries are obviously going to continue being a factor in those games.
Until we get close to full strength, I 100% agree with you.JMO we don’t have the defense to make the playoffs. Need to strike gold on the injury front and get Moi and McCoy back (Austin Price said October for McCoy this morning).
Of course, 2022 Vols would have made a 12-team playoff and we look similar this year.
Literally been having this thought. are we being too cautious? We only get twelve to make the playoff. And need all hands on deck for big games. It was unsolicited, but AP questioned the training staff this morning on 104.5. He said we changed trainers in the offseason. Suggesting it’s taking a lot longer to get guys back out there than years past but then backtracked a little when he realized he probably opened can of worms, saying they’re perhaps much more conservative.
