Yeah they spoke of changing his mechanics in the offseason. A lot. To get his ball deeper. They had also said he was looking good to start.

This competition did teach me that the media lies a little on the most important positions. They were all tossing flowers only to later hint nah.

Tbh, Merk has never looked all that good to my eye. Granted, he hasn't had a ton of chances to run the full offense but the whole operation seems to look a little herky-jerky when he is in.

Brooks and Rusty who report on the Dawgs agree there are questions if Gunner can get it out of his hand fast enough. None of them believe he's had 0 chances to throw deep, but he had not taken them...why?

I still say Beck leaving is our greatest gift in this game. Beck.shredded us with quick decisions.

That is such a silly slant, or, take on things. Honestly it's pure deflection, Manswell even said Mike 'Honey' Booboo will will most definitely challenge TN's defense with Dink and dunk, then PA over the middle. Says they will play keep away. Tail as old as thyme.

Georgia doesn't need to worry about releasing, if we arent being disruptive or getting a PR. Honestly, wasnt over the moon with Dline play in last two games.

So, if all they have to do is throw screens and hand off. Throwing motion and releases are a muted point, you know, an udder failure.

We just disagree. Nico on paper should be able to challenge any team with this talent. Joe on paper should be an NFL starter.

Gunner has yet to show execution at the level of Beck at any of this starts. He might and he could - yes. Question is will he. Their own reporters are asking this question.

Like if Cain were to say 'was on the DB's hip, using good technique.' Id prob draw a logical corollary to his playing days and think 'ok, that makes sense.'

Georgia has won 8 years in a rooow, with lesser talents at QB. Gonna roll Hubbs on this one. I'll believe it whence I see it.

Brooks Austin also says he’s very timid with throws vs zone and thinks if we play man (like ND did last year) then Gunner can play well since he can trust 1on1 coverage vs having to fit the ball in windows

If we get a lead and if we get a pass rush then those questions you dismiss come pouring to the forefront. So yeah it depends on what you believe Tennessee can do too. That's always true.

That's all true. He and their offense is a ?. We all seem to agree on that. He could do a lot. We could do a lot to mess him up.

Should buy an old FJ-40 or FJ-60.

Saw a blue 40 up in Timbuktu SW VA on side of dudes driveway for sale. The tires locked up, pulled over. Thinking 'please deer overseer,' saw the price. And got in the truck and left.
