Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Interesting how Heupel and Aguilar are tracking on similar paths. Nico tried to throw Heupel under the bus saying he needed to move in order to get better coaching and preparation for the NFL. Really!!!! Memo to Nico: That was your bus that just ran over you.

And Aguilar was thrown under the bus by the UCLA coaching staff saying his attitude was bad and he was poor in his film study. They were happy he decided to move on. Really!!! Memo to UCLA coaches: Joey was the driver of the bus that just ran over you. Needless to say, I was shocked that the UCLA coaches would trash talk a player for leaving. Classless. Even with Nico and his trash talking, we never heard Heupel and his staff publicly trash talking Nico.

While Joey may not be the best QB in our history, he is definitely is an upgrade over Nico. Plus, he is a class kid and represents our program well. Our coaches can't stop singing his praises. We sure lucked out in this swap. Note: I'll take Joey's 82 year grandmother over all of the jerks in Nico's family. Haha!!

It’s more about me not believing in LSU than it is FL putting a game together. But agree it is very unlikely!
I think LSU could easily lose to UF. Their big win against Clemson doesn't look as good after Clemson struggled against Troy. LSU only put up 23 against La Tech. I think LSU's defense will prove to be solid this season but their offense will be inconsistent. UF still has talent and that could be a messy low scoring game.

6 drops vs ETSU

1 from WRs
2 from TEs
3 from RBs
It HAS TO get cleaned up. Imo, drops are the major "concern" at the moment. Yes, a couple of other things need polished a bit; but these drops are what is keeping us from truly humming and hitting on all cylinders. Both games.

I think it's an offensive identity problem. He's trying to play bully ball and that's not what has made Florida good in the past. Unless you're UGA with the most talented roster in the country, you're not winning that way.

I wonder if he's just kinda dumb

his offense is..elementary

one of the great lessons in life is in learning how to eat crow with grace
Some people refuse to believe they are wrong or admit when they are wrong. They like to divert attention by changing the subject or telling a revised history of what they said. But I agree, have to be able to eat crow with grace and say you were totally wrong.

But the media said that their (LSU) QB was a heisman favorite...

Our line is already down to -4.5
Lots of Vols betting
There was also a tweet of them with Juan Ward saying "Vamos Vols" so I feel that cancels out their wooing. They are good people.
You anti woo-ers are weird...you do realize that you are heavily outnumbered don't you? Sometimes you just gotta go with tha flow bro.

Lots and lots of Vols high on cupcakes betting that number down. It will be interesting to see where the big late money goes....they may stay away from this one.

If I was a big money gambler, I don't know if I would bet big on this one either way.

Man they’ve had some peenhead coaches haven’t they. Billy isn’t really unlikable like the others, just in over his head.
That is surprising given the pull of the Gators. They can pretty much pull any coach they want. Maybe they should have stayed with Mullen a touch longer. I still think he's a strong coach.

Just don't overreact the other way if he has a tough game Saturday.
My bar was set really low for what he would do. Missing spring, plus it seemed like we didnt have many options outside of him. . . I wouldn't be mad about a 7-5 or 8-4 year with him, all things considered. It looks like he's gonna be better than that though.

I think he's way better than expected, but no doubt that there will be times we see some problems. It just seems like we've made a big upgrade.

Agreed here. He's gonna throw some interceptions. Just have to make sure that we limit it the best we can and make sure those turnovers dont result in points. On the plus side, he takes more risks than Nico but those risks result in big plays. And that's what this offense needs.
