Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I
Its crazy to me how we all knew this was the worst career decision he could have made and this is exactly how it was going to turn out there but he just couldn’t see it himself. How narcissistic does one have to be to think they could ball out at UCLA and make them a winner in their current state.

Was there anyone with at least half a brain that didn’t see this coming? Dude could have stuck it out here and played only 10-20% better and for sure got drafted. Now it’s looking like he’ll be in college longer than this year. So glad we moved on and got Joey leading the team now.

I'm just thinking about these huge guaranteed contracts and tell me what you think: it seems like it almost incentivizes coaches to fail. Because if you can make 78 million dollars and NOT have to coach a college football team with everything involved, wouldn't you?
Nope, I’m way too competitive for that. Deboer cares but he has brought a soft mentality to Alabama.

Don't forget McCoy. Though I will say Colton Hood looked like a straight up DOG out there but McCoy is very clutch in critical 3rd/4th downs and that's what we were missing today.
I’m hoping McCoy being back will allow us to play more man and less zone.

Any concern Cuse exposed something on our defensive personnel or do we just need to get healthy?

Not that 26 pts is bad, just not Banks's standard. An elite standard.
We were playing guys that normally wouldn’t be on the field. I think it was bc of players going down and that we felt we hand the game in hand.

Watching part of that UCLA mess last night, I am not sure we would have beaten Syracuse with Nico.

Agreed

All last year I bounced back and forth in my head as to whether Nico was really just another version of DJ Uiagalelei - it looks more and more like he is

Aguilar fits our scheme better
