Praying that God's mercy and peace will comfort you all.FIL is going on hospice care. Could be days or weeks. He is in renal failure on top of many other issues. For those that pray, your prayers for peace and calm during this time for my wife and our family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, VN family.
Just had a hawk or eagle with about a 27' wingspan land on my fence. Biggest bird I've ever seen around here. I couldn't tell exactly what it was, because I didn't notice it until it took off. It must've been sitting there for a minute. Looked like a C17 Globemaster leaving the yard,![]()
Has there been a year under Heupel that the WRs haven’t been wide open?Joey FoosballView attachment 765610
I'm coming around. If the WRs can get open, I'm sure JA can get it there. Either way, we're winning 10+ games this season. I think this dude's a leader and that's what we need on offense.

The price is dictated by what the market will bear, end of story.Raising base pay is in response to a higher cost of living...not the cause of it. That's exactly what big corporations want you to think. Also, starting pay at McDonald's in Georgia (where I live) is $11 to $15 depending on the position...so that dude on Twitter is FOS or talking about California where they have a higher base pay for fast food workers. Either way, that's not why your tickets or other costs have gone up. There are record profits being made by companies who didn't bring their prices back down when their cost of doing business went down post-COVID. Want to know why something is so expensive? Greed is a safe bet right now unless it's a product with major supply issues. Danny White is an awesome AD, but he's getting a little greedy with these ticket prices, in my opinion.
That’s a helluva assumption based on one small blurb. Good lordMaybe try compassion. It’s clear from this you don’t care about your employees much. I’m sure that doesn’t help.
I get stuck with situations like this sometimes. I want to be compassionate first and I understand that I may not know what someone is going through and why they act the way they do. So if they’re that way I give them the chance to share and hope I can lift them up and support/inspire. But also if I find out the reason (and think it’s a nothing burger) or they’re not willing to share then I find myself thinking things like “sack up for god sake” or then just get it done with a fake smile and let’s move on.
The Cowboys problem isn’t drafting. Stephen is actually a pretty good GM when it comes to drafting.
Their problem has been their coach picks and Jerry not letting go.
All of their high salaries have been their own picks- Dak, Lamb, Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, Center from Wisconsin, Ferguson, Odighizuwa, Parsons, Diggs in addition to Demarcus Lawrence and Ezekiel Elliott before they left.
I’ve been a fan for a long time. Most Cowboys fans will tell you that Jerry is mostly the problem. He’s the patriarch. He was the problem when Jimmy left.I'm just here to tell ya that being a GM involves a lot more than drafting. So when you say all the bad stuff is Jerry's fault and all the good stuff is Stephen, well that's just cherry picking.
I lived in Dallas for 15 years. I still listen to the Musers. I'm well versed in the Cowboys. Stephen does not impress me much, acquiring talent is not hard in the NFL. But hey we'll see what happens.I’ve been a fan for a long time. Most Cowboys fans will tell you that Jerry is mostly the problem. He’s the patriarch. He was the problem when Jimmy left.
I don’t know about “all the good stuff,” but Stephen is the positive that comes from the family. They’ve proven that they can acquire very good talent.
Wow, thanks, Karen.Maybe try compassion. It’s clear from this you don’t care about your employees much. I’m sure that doesn’t help.

Just ask the Browns, Panthers, Raiders, Jets, Falcons, Cardinals, and more about drafting and acquiring talent. The Cowboys have been at the top of the league in drafting recently. Just need other parts of the front office to do the same.I lived in Dallas for 15 years. I still listen to the Musers. I'm well versed in the Cowboys. He put it out there. Just commented how it came across, trying to help. Did it not come across that way to you? It’s a helluva assumption that a man with a beard working on hvac should not have feelings or not be impacted by the ones he has. I agree that you shouldn’t bring your personal baggage to work with you, but for as simply as he approached the topic the solution is equally as simple: you made a comment. He told you how he felt about it. You could tell him that unfortunately it doesn’t concern you and you expect him to do his job with a smile anyways, and fire him if he doesnt. Or you could try to be supportive. And again fire him if things don’t change. Or third option you decide getting the work done is more important than doing it with a smile on your face. And then I wonder why it bothers him so much that someone was struggling with something he didn’t care to be inquisitive enough about to understand why. Again, he put it out there. I found it interesting enough a comment to engage about. And I’m not going to not tell him how it comes across if I’m curious enough to know more about the post in general. That’s a helluva assumption based on one small blurb. Good lord
For sure. Cowboys are like a lot of teams. Close but no cigar. Part of that is merely a function of a few (Patriots & Chiefs) teams repeating so much. Honestly their season records are pretty stellar overall. That's really the problem - Jerry has seen enough success to believe he should keep digging the same spot - coach, qb etc.I hear the same spiel everyday," When was the last time the Cowboys won a Super Bowl"? Well my question is when was the last time the Commanders/Redskins or the Golden Child 49ers won a Super Bowl? Not participating in one but WON one.
Rofl I resemble that remark it’s ok. Not many things in the world nerdier than reading LotR.View attachment 765675
