The #5 Lady Vols went on the road and defeated the #4 UCLA Lady Bruins 1-0 last night. Lady Vols move to 3-0 on the season.

Insane start to the season:
1. Unranked preseason, defeats defending national champions, #1 UNC 2-0.
2. Catapulted to #6, beat EKU 9-0 in largest win in school history.
3. Goes on the road to #4 UCLA (another powerhouse) and beats them.

The last few times I have been to Cracker Barrel, they were filthy, bad service and one time received burnt food. Food was so bad they would not let us pay. Manager was embarrassed and gracious, but we ended up going to get fast food afterward. Needless to say, I have not eaten at CB in several years.

Wife and I stopped going some time ago.

One of my favorite things we ever did was when my grandfather was in hospice care, we put on like every one of his favorite movies and just sat and watched them with him. Watched Platoon, Animal House, Christmas Vacation and The Good the Bad and the Ugly among some other westerns and such. He just had a revolving door of relatives coming in and enjoying some of his favorite media with him. First time we saw him smile in months was when John Belushi was on screen in Animal House. Just an idea that turned out great if you don't know what else to do. I'm praying for you and yours to have a peaceful next couple of weeks, my friend. Godspeed.

That sounds like a wonderful memory of a difficult time. We may try something like that, but his O2 level is so low from his advanced COPD that he is very disoriented and cannot seem to rest. Going to take this one day at a time. It is most my wife and her stepmom that are dealing with this directly. Thank you for the idea though. It is good to hear good things in difficult times. And thank you for your prayers as well.

FIL is going on hospice care. Could be days or weeks. He is in renal failure on top of many other issues. For those that pray, your prayers for peace and calm during this time for my wife and our family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, VN family.

I had a grown man tell me I hurt his feelings this morning. It's hard for me to process how soft some guys are these days. He has been dragging ass around the shop being a dark cloud and pouting. I told him he needs to bring more Pooh and less Eeyore energy. That's it... Dude has a beard and works on HVAC and got butthurt over that. Probably an aTm fan LOL

Just had a hawk or eagle with about a 27' wingspan land on my fence. Biggest bird I've ever seen around here. I couldn't tell exactly what it was, because I didn't notice it until it took off. It must've been sitting there for a minute. Looked like a C17 Globemaster leaving the yard,

Maybe try compassion. It’s clear from this you don’t care about your employees much. I’m sure that doesn’t help.

I get stuck with situations like this sometimes. I want to be compassionate first and I understand that I may not know what someone is going through and why they act the way they do. So if they’re that way I give them the chance to share and hope I can lift them up and support/inspire. But also if I find out the reason (and think it’s a nothing burger) or they’re not willing to share then I find myself thinking things like “sack up for god sake” or then just get it done with a fake smile and let’s move on.

It is happening to several restaurants. We eat at an Outback in SC near me. The food is still good but it is getting nastier and nastier inside that restaurant.
