Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

They remember what the Tennessee Attorney General made clear.

The NCAA says it is fining Michigan the equivalent of post-season revenue.

So here's the lie and manipulation this time. This fine is not to be assessed on the pertinent 2022-24 post-season revenue. That's too just for a pet. It will apply, if it is one day actually applied, to the very likely smaller and at present hypothetical post-season revenue for 2025 and 2026.

Here's another:

The NCAA will penalize Michigan by reducing their number of permissible recruiting visits. They did this to us -- and they are still doing it. But for special Michigan the NCAA stalled for 3 years so the penalties did not affect Michigan's recruiting. Now the NCAA just changed the rule to unlimited visits. So Michigan's (now) fake penalty will be "officially" assessed in 2025 and 2006. But it is null and void.

Hubbs said Adidas loved the way Tennessee was aggressive and on the forefront of NIL. that's why they wanted the Vols to be the flagship program. Adidas is going to be very aggressive in NIL. A different level from Nike.
I’m sure the NCAA will come back and retroactively tell us ā€œyou can’t do that rabble rabble rabbleā€, slapping some b.s. penalty they just made up. All these Nike schools gonna be at a disadvantage if we do it right. Already preparing my loins for the ensuing battle.

I've considered that but what Adidas will be doing is the very definition of NIL. Selling Name, Image and likeness. I don't imagine Adidas will tolerate someone trying to damage their bossiness model.

Boo is being made to work his way back from the bottom. First he was helmetless. After he earned his helmet back, he was put in with the 3s. In the drills I saw here a while back, he was literally the last man in the line of 3s. If he was scrimmaging with the 3s (I don't know what day that refers to) he's moving on up.

I am still hoping Boo has a great year. Maybe he'll house a punt in Atlanta.
Probably why Mama Carter was mad

Been really busy today and haven't been able to keep up. Sorry if I'm behind the curve with this. Post Hayms jokes as appropriate...

Tennessee’s second scrimmage saw the offense perform better than they did in scrimmage one.

Overall the quarterbacks were more consistent and efficient and everyone I have spoken with said Joey Aguilar looked more comfortable running things. But again all the qb’s were better today.

The offense had more vertical plays today with Mike Matthews and Travis Smith making some plays in the passing game.

George MacIntyre hit Jokaim Dodson for a touchdown pass. Aguilar hooked up with Amari Jefferson on a nice vertical shot as well.

Brahme again showed up at tight end.

On the offensive line, Sam Pendleton continues to trend to be the center with Jesse Perry at right guard. Tennessee did mix and match a lot on the offensive line.

Tennessee’s running backs continue to play well.

In the secondary, there was a lot of mixing and matching and young guys getting work. Ty Redmond who didn’t go through scrimmage one got a done of work. Tennessee loves what they have in him.

I’m told Boo Carter got some defensive run today. Joshua Josephs got a handful of snaps to start as did Telander. Dom Bailey and Bryson Eason didn’t go as both have been battling illness. Same for freshman receiver Radarius Jackson

There was still a lot of ā€˜thudding’ and not full tackling which makes it harder for the defense.

Much more coming throughout the afternoon.

Oh that is trash

Is Denzel turning into McGill

Man you sent me into a deep rabbit hole...

Denzel...

His past drug and alcohol issues...

His son David Washington Jr (former football player and now famous actor - also had a role as a child in Malcolm X)

Malcolm X and his Hajj journey, post-Nation of Islam and heelturn against them before being assassinated by them, then 2 of the 3 convicted being exonerated only 4 years ago šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

All very interesting, so thanks.

Appreciate it. I was happy to see i didn't miss too much listening to free updates.
9.95 please

Aguilar the man - showed more poise
Pendleton is Center
Perry likely in starting 5

Get Hobbs healthy for UGA and let the talented young bucks play. Campbell and Utley need that work — maybe even let Dye work inside? Idk, not worried, but we do need Hobbs for UGA.
He just can’t stay healthy to save his life. Isn’t this the 3rd offseason in a row that he’s been hurt?

Side note it is nice to sit and think of the embarrassment of riches we have behind him. Very talented young men who would love the opportunity to take the starter job from him. My money would be on Utley but we will see.
