Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

If it's Aguilar I hope we announce it tomorrow.

If Syracuse's staff is dumb enough to waste time watching Aguilar play in a completely different offense I think that's a great sign for us.

This Adidas deal was a no-brainer and Im sure the uniforms will be fine if we retain full creative control.

I just hope they have improved their dog**** fan gear after the last go round. It was absolutely horrible and one reason Nike was so sought after by fans to begin with. Their fan gear simply looked and felt FAR better
Ill buy a garbage bag with an orange T painted on it, as long as we're landing 5 stars.

One thing I'll always be thankful to Nike for is unifying and consolidating the logos. Tennessee under Adidas just had WAY too many logos and scripts and half or more of them just looked like **** lol.

Unbelievable how many fans are crying and whing over this Adidas deal.
I get it, to some degree. Most casual fans are thinking about:

A. They remember the way our uniforms looked
and/or
B. How the fan apparel was that they could buy

Both were terrible. So I get why people would be a little iffy about going back, although I'm sure it's better than it was then.

To be completely fair to Adidas, the shirts and other items I saw on Miami’s website were actually decent looking, if not better than Nike’s, but the shoes were absolutely horrendous. lol

I will say, I was pretty pissed about the Adidas deal at first. I think Adidas is ugly, and Nike is overall better quality. However, when i saw the $ involved and how they’re going to give us a lot more NIL capabilities and how we were going to be made the flagship team for them, I completely understood and feel a lot better about it

Yeah, that is where I'm at too. Absolute no brainer for DW to take that deal. Would have been professional malpractice not to tbh.

This is why I think you’re one of the best posters on here. You say exactly what is on your mind at any given moment, because it reads like you believe it to be so, unlike the drivel I come across on here on a daily basis. Please keep doing you.

I miss @butchna.

Don’t encourage him toots..he’ll go on for 2 more weeks running over into football season 😭🤣🤣

Yes. The adidas gear always fit me better than Nike. Nike sizing was not consistent either. One year, 2xl fit me well. The next year, 2xl was way too tight. The next year, it was too big.

I’ll be loading up on the new gear. I challenge everyone to get what you can and show adidas that they made the right decision.

Slow down on getting buff..hot shot🤣🤣

Aguilar has a history of throwing pics and I think that's what we're getting with him. I don't think Heupel can coach the turnovers out of him. He's got a good arm but he'll will throw it to anybody on the field.... offense or defense.

*The good news, Heupel isn't destroying the program like I think Pruitt was trying to do. CJH will play our best/most consistent QB this season. It'll be a lot like last season, the passing game will be inconsistent. Defense and the run game will be our greatest strengths.

**9-10 wins is realistic but I'm riding with @VolsDoc81TX 🤠 17-0.... til we ain't

Ehh we all survived the JG days…it will be ok. at least this guy wants to win and if a pick happens taking a shot, giving us a chance to win I’m ok with that..support is key we all expected some kind of set back this year after Nico leaving..keep your cup on.

With the question marks at WR and the talent in the TE room i think we will be 12 personnel heavy this year. Hopefully Ethan Davis steps up and Brame looks like hes ready as a pass catcher. Should help us run the ball also which should be our strength.
It worked better for us last season as well. It will work even better for us this season and appears Heup has recruited well toward it.

Starting to see the longer term offensive identity for the program now. Heup plans an all out physical attack that has multiple options. I foresee no more discussion of gimmicky schemes by opponents and talking heads in the future.

I'm liking this a lot.
