Hubbs blessed us with a banger of a face in the first three seconds of today's 2-Minute Drill
He looked the best in the spring game, too.Im not saying it's going to happen...but, I will not be surprised, one bit, if George MacIntyre wins it. Heup has started a true freshman before; and, if George gives him the best chance to win, is the most accurate and consistent, and can handle the offense and calls...that's who he'll roll with.
I know it's just one scrimmage; but, George has been mentioned in almost every report we've gotten from fall camp, positive info each time...and, now his name is called again today, looking solid, on another forgetful day for the other two.
Again, I'm not calling it...just saying it won't surprise me.
Main concern is how he adjusts from Sun Belt to SEC defenses. Especially the speed. The windows will feel really small. Will take him some time to adjust for sure.Decoding the notes from scrimmage. Seems like the run game won’t see a drop off and the same could be said about our defense. Curious to see if any reporters will ask Sam Pendleton(Sp?) if he sees a difference from facing our defense compared to ND.
I don’t know how the QB competition will play out but I think we see Joey on the first drive against cuse’
It’ll be interesting to see how Joey does with a much simpler offense and not having to play down 3-4 scores.
Very excited for his talent and future. Short of catastrophe, he will not start this year.Im not saying it's going to happen...but, I will not be surprised, one bit, if George MacIntyre wins it. A dope place----they selling dope in plain sight in Atlanta now days?Okay Gents! I have booked my trip for Atlanta. Tickets, Hotels, and driver all on the books. Going with 3 college buddies from my days in Knoxville.
Now just needing a dope place to go after the game to watch football and have a few more brews.
It will surprise me, but I love that there's a diversity of opinions. I think Mac might eventually be the starter here but I can't see it in a year where the job appears to have been promised already.Im not saying it's going to happen...but, I will not be surprised, one bit, if George MacIntyre wins it. Maybe not; but, there is precedent. And, if those reports are true, that he's already put on about 20/25 pounds, and up to around 220...Very excited for his talent and future. Short of catastrophe, he will not start this year.
Is it really "George looked the best" or is it that the other two underwhelmed their expectation while George exceeded expectation and is ahead of schedule?Im not saying it's going to happen...but, I will not be surprised, one bit, if George MacIntyre wins it. Final record is going to come down to how healthy we can get and if our star players can play. McCoy will be critical as will our starting 3 recievers. Honestly QB could be a carousel if no one can pull away and that could be fine. 9 wins for me unless we get healthier. Depth at WR is atrocious. I expect a lot of TE play.Gonna wait before locking in final record prediction until after the final scrimmage.
All I know is, our fanbase is full of complete smooth brains. I can't read the comments. QB's sucked in scrimmage one like they always do, DRAW CONCLUSIONS. Soooo dumb.Is it really "George looked the best" or is it that the other two underwhelmed their expectation while George exceeded expectation and is ahead of schedule?
Even if the older guys are underwhelming they still may be a better option than George day 1.
He won't "start" but I could see him playing for sure depending how season goes and the guys in front play. His release is too slow and his frame currently too small for SEC.Im not saying it's going to happen...but, I will not be surprised, one bit, if George MacIntyre wins it. They are better options, but people need a narrative on a bad QB day. I expect a Kiffen 1st year performance from our QB's. Shakey to start but decent by close. Is it really "George looked the best" or is it that the other two underwhelmed their expectation while George exceeded expectation and is ahead of schedule?

No one has said, "George looked the best". All reports so far, like today: he's looked solid, accurate, poised...and, his arm talent is impressive. That's the consistent info on him this fall. The words I have seen over and over, and pay the most attention to is "accurate" and "consistent".Is it really "George looked the best" or is it that the other two underwhelmed their expectation while George exceeded expectation and is ahead of schedule?
