Let’s start with the fact that both sides has plenty of people out today. We will have a full list coming up.

From all accounts the defense won the scrimmage and had their way with the offense.

The quarterbacks didn’t have their best day. Multiple people said the one who threw it best and most accurately was George MacIntyre but most of his work is against the 2s and 3s. He hit Travis Smith, Radarious Jackson and Dasaahn Brame multiple times with Brame finding the endzone.

Collin Brazzell picked off Joey Aguilar for a pick-6 at one point. He was described as the second most accurate passer on the day.

Merklinger found Brame on a bootleg score but had a rough day with accuracy multiple people told Volquest.

Defensively, Bryson Eason was very active and so was the defensive line in general.

I was told by multiple people that the starting offensive line had a really good day in Tennessee was able to effectively run. The ball really really well with some nice runs by the group of running backs.

They are just wrapping up so we will have more notes, thoughts and comments to come.

We need to have the GMac conversation. Coach did it with no problem at UCF, it may be time to roll with the true freshman again.

Defense and run game going to carry us. Game manage QBs and we get to 9 wins fingers crossed. I just want to beat either UF in the Swamp, Bama away, or UGA finally. Break one of those streaks and it will be a successful season. We can do it.

Was an interesting tid bit that colin brazzell picked Aguilar off, could mean that Merk was working with the 1’s

Defenses almost always win the first scrimmage. They did in the Spring too.

Let’s see what kind of adjustments are made before the next scrimmage.
