I thought this too. You would think that with as much money is on the line now, kids would make better decisions, but there always has been money in the game and there have always been knuckleheads. Tennessee has a long list of them. This Boo Carter mess strikes me as being less about NIL and agents and more about an immature young kid being a knucklehead. Back in the Fulmer days we used to have a handful guys every year get suspended or booted for doing stupid stuff. Under Heupel there really hasn’t been much of that nonsense at all. Maybe the portal allows you kick problem players off the team without having to make it public, but it really does seem to me like we’ve had much better character and culture under Heupel than under previous coaches. Boo is obviously pushing the envelope though.
Birds of a feather flock together. Anyone that paid attention to how Big Nic acted on Twitter and how momma Boo acted on here and has acted on other social media, should not be surprised at all by all the drama surrounding Nico and Boo. It’s engrained and a part of what they are. One can only hope that both Nico and Boo can mature and realize that this isn’t the path they want their lives to take. One can hope…That reminds me of this thread from back in mid April, but when nothing came of it, a lot of fans assumed that maybe Boo was just referring to Nico.
Nico had liked Boo's posts, by the way.
These malcontents can claim coaching problems all they want, but I put more culpability on these half-raised drama queens with more money and attention than they're capable of handling and too much time on their hands
When a coach and team leaders simply ask a player to do what is expected of them, they become the villain. It's an upside down world.
It actually started when posters compared Boo to a well known athlete. She went off the rails and became combative in Boo’s recruiting thread. It went so sideways that she was banned, but Boo still committed. I won’t talk bad about the kid until he’s no longer on the team…..but it sure looks like this is headed. When did this happen?

Nico’s father cost him a lot of money, landed him on a terrible football team and made his kid and family the joke of college football. Excellent job there! Boo will either end up in a mess like Nico or he’ll take some responsibility for his actions, right his wrongs and learn from Nico’s mistake. His choice.Birds of a feather flock together. AND, we’re already sick of the Nico crap and have been when it unfolded on social media. I’m going to take heat for this, but here I go, I Think that anyone in the know would and should have gotten ahead of this. They knew he was awol and slacking, but we’re here. I’m sick of prema donnas. Whatever happens, I’m sick of it. I miss the 80’s and early 90’s when we didn’t have this kinda crap. I’m sure we did, but I didn’t have to hear or read about it constantly. The team took care of it and I had confidence they did without knowing. Anyone remember ‘blanket parties’?I don't think it's overblown. I think the fans are getting tired of this pre-madonna stuff from the same player over and over. It'll get to the point where it's a relief when a player like this leaves.

JMO, but seems like a huge amount of hand wringing on here for a guy who wasn’t a game changer last year. He clearly has potential, but check out how he graded last season as it wasn’t one of our higher scores. Personally, I was surprised they upped his NIL significantly for his level of contribution. Not saying kick rocks, but if he’s really not buying in to the team concept then we may well be better giving someone else a shot. Next man up - same as it is when a starter goes down to injury. JMO, TIFWIWHis only chance of playing this season is here, unless he steps down a division. And if he has to sit out a season, I could easily see him losing his luster. He's self-sabotaging and is potentially throwing away his future.
