Most everyone throughout the country has begged for a play off for decades. Next year we finally get it.
I have been against it for years because it lessons the significance of the regular season.
This year we would have a repeat of the iron bowl and that would be plain ignorant. That game has already been played.
I for one would love for the BCS to stay

The issue that bothers me about a playoff is that we're asking 18-22 year old college kids to play an extra game which would make 15 total and pushing their season to about 5.5 months of the year, counting practice time. You're also asking fans to come up with a large sum of money on a short notice (maybe twice) and try to get reservations on a short notice and in a lot of cases get off from work on a short notice (again maybe twice) to get to see the final game. The game sponsors don't really care because they will try to sell all the tickets to corporate sponsors and will not worry if the team fans get to see them. This could lead to sold out games with 30,000 empty seats and 30,000 team fans wanting to see the game but having no available tickets. I may be confused as to how all this is going to be set up and I hope I am but it looks like a money thing to me.

Just 1 question. How does a 4 team playoff lower the significance of the regular season? If you lose too many games in the regular season, then you won't be going to the playoffs.

This is a retarded argument to me. The NFC and AFC play each other in season. Say if you get a barn burner between (I know they don't play each other this season, it is just an example of what could happen) Seattle and Denver in the 12th game of the season. You wouldn't want to see a rematch in the Super Bowl?
