I have to admit I yelled a couple of f u's at Saban on my tv as the game ended.

Yeah, my language was atrocious as well I must admit. But when they showed little fluff boy AJ Mcarron kissing his family I couldn't help it. They still tried to take that moment to glorify Bama. F-bombs were dropped. Then when they showed the little boy crying being consoled by his dad, I laughed harder, I hope it ruined his little Christmas. But what did it for me was the Auburn fan holding the sign that said "Roll Tears Roll". I literally laughed until my gut hurt and at that moment it was party time.

It didn't bother me one bit to witness every square inch of agony on the faces of the Bammers.

Pretty good game in Lexington. Not as cold as I thought it would be. The UK fans (the ones that actually showed up) were very nice.

1. Sucks for Croom to get hurt like that. Looked like he was in store for a monster game. Not sure what it was, but I could see him grabbing his shoulder.

2. After Croom went down, Johnson and Devrin really stepped up.

3. I rate Dobbs' performance a 6 out of 10. He got lucky on that 1st TD throw to Croom. He made some nice 3rd down throws and made some good runs when he needed to.

4. Our defense vs. their run game was piss poor. That Mobley kid was getting 8 yards at will. Our LBs really do not know how to shed a block.

5. Good for Corey Miller. Hate to see him go. Congrats on the record.

6. As for AU-UA game, I'm pretty sure Bama lost 30% of their fans last night. Saban had "For Sale" signs in his yard. I'm sure Harvey will burn down the whole town of Auburn this time.

Number 4 was the big problem that I was telling everyone I was watching the game with was the issue all year. Not just the LB's. It was why the bubble screen killed us. Need to get some strength in the upper body on this team.

thanks for the shoutout. i think we get 7 or 8 wins next year.

QB play will be better - more time in the system, S&C, maturity
RB play will be about the same or slightly better - we lose Neal, but we get Pickett and Hurd. More S&C for Lane
TE play will be about the same - although if Helm gets some play, it could help our receiver corps
WR play will improve drastically - All receivers return and will have more time in the system and S&C. Guys that took a redshirt this year will also be available (like Jenkins and Harris). We get good receivers in like Pearson, Creamer, Wharton, Booth and hopefully Malone
OLine play - everyone else seems to think we will have a huge dropoff, I dont. We didnt have great Oline play this year. I think itll be about the same, or a slight drop. We do get some good guys in, like Blair and Thomas. Its a possibility that Tiny comes back.
FB play - i wish

DLine play will be about the same or slightly better - once again, people seem to think we will have a huge dropoff, and I dont. Our Dline was pretty lackluster this year. We lose some guys like Smith, Miller and McCullers. But Vereen will be a sophomore and we get some great guys in. JUCOs like Lambert and Williams. Dline will be faster.
LB play will be better - possibility that AJ comes back. Maggitt will be healthy. JUCO Weatherd comes in. Amazing freshmen coming in (Bates, Bryant, Johnson, Mouhon). I think our LB corps will be faster, which is what we need. More JRM
DB play will be better - all of our starters return. more time in S&C. Each guy will be more mature. Riyahd will be healthy. We get good guys in (Payne, Kelly, McDowell, Moseley, Gaulden)

Kicking - not sure
Returning will be better - we will have better return guys next year.

Overall, I think we will be better. We will have faster guys playing, and I think that what we need.

EDIT: forgot to add, it helps that the teams we play are losing their stars. almost every starting QB in the SEC will be gone next year

Agree with all this but the Oline. I think pass protection sees a big drop off. Run blocking can probably stay very similar.

We all got em!!

@TreyDeuce32RTR: You fake ass bama fans stop sending threats to my teammate, you spoiled ******, respect what we do and know we all human! And that's REAL!

To borrow from David Letterman....once again Rich you have crystalized my thoughts exactly.

The F bombs started to "roll" for me me when the family and girlfriend were on the field. I started telling get the F-ing family members of the damn field. I still don't know how or why they were down there! Still pisses me off!!

Yeah, they were just trying to find a way to glorify those little piss ants. My wife told me I'm going to hell because I said I hope Mcarron's girlfriend trips, breaks her nose ending her little modeling career. Oh well, guess I'm on my way....

Lol!! That's rough. I would like something else to happen to her

Thanks Tri and POA. I feel similar Ive been a season ticket holder since I was 7 and Im 30 now. Had a granddad that played for the vols. Hopefully we can pull an auburn or mizzou next yr and shock the world. Another question how does JRM fit into next yr with the LBs we have coming in. Does he stay at safety help McNeil maybe that would take the pressure off some of the freshman and allow them to RS, or does he crack the rotation at LB? Let me state I do think he should see the field somewhere..

i think he goes back to LB. We will have Randolph and McNeil returning, and we have some good freshmen coming in. We are losing a ton of LBs, so i think he is a LB, and that will help the incoming freshman redshirt there

I'm guessing this is off topic but this is filed under the misc reports heading on the NCAA's website. Forget Appy state as they only played one FBS Team.

Spring will be fun this year. Also first time in many years we wont have staff turnover.

How much turnover was there after Dooley's first year?

Ridiculous considering Austin Peay doesn't even contribute to that, right?

My notes from last night's game:

1. DY: For the first time in his career, Devrin received the ball after crossing the line of scrimmage. Given our issues at the WR position, I just can't figure out why he was not written into the offensive game plan before tonight. I'm not saying he should be the center piece or anything, but targeting him 4-5 times a game... especially Josh Smith's snaps, would have been a nice boost to the offense. He had 4 catches for 66 yards tonight. In previous games, 2 catches for 13. :dunno:

2. Palardy:
I remember Dustin Colquitt went through a stretch at TN, where he would almost comically angle the ball out of bounds within the 5 yard line, almost every time he punted. Tonight, Palardy repeated those exploits, with ridiculous bounces and balls just dying short of the goal line, as if it landed in cotton candy. It didn't hurt that KY's returner acted as though the ball was covered with cobra fangs every time it got near him. He will really be missed.

3. Corey Miller: Nothing beats that feeling of saving your best for last. He is one of those who have been through the wringer here, choosing to stay on board that fateful night Kiffin bounced town and Orgeron was giving invites to SoCal to our newly arrived freshmen. His 4.5 sacks in a game are a new standard, beating the great Reggie White. How awesome was it for him to get one last shot at the record, and then force that fumble in the endzone. That was his last play in orange and white, a memory that will always stick with him. My final play in football was a touchdown catch after dislocating my thumb earlier in the quarter. The memory is still fresh, and a highlight of my life. (cool story)

4. Neal: He really turned the corner this year, and will earn a paycheck in the NFL, at least for a while, and who knows... His season finishes with a 5.2 YPC average. 1124 yards on the season is good in the SEC. His intensity in the second half of the season was great to see.

5. McCullers: The big fella never seemed to turn the switch on. All the tools in the world for a man his size, and demonstrated every time he entered the "Circle of Life", but just seemed content to settle in games. He finishes his career averaging 3 tackles per game, with a total of 1.5 sacks. Oh what could have been...

6. Stoops: The man looked overwhelmed and stressed out. Kentucky is not going to do him any good. He already has a habit of ragging his team out in public, and with a team that has a losers identity, he will not go far. Sort of unrelated... how in the bloody spam logo did we lose to KY a couple of years ago? I could not tolerate this off season with a loss to them again.

Looking forward to the madness leading up to NSD, and then hearing about the EE's in spring and who is going to emerge as the QB.

Got goosebumps reading number 3. What an awesome way for Corey Miller to go out. Jaques Smith also got a sack in his last game. Not on the last play, but still got one. Good for those guys

Ridiculous considering Austin Peay doesn't even contribute to that, right?

Right, but it's also worth noting that we were partly responsible for that ranking because if we had won all of our games then the numbers for our opposition would be 66-45 dropping us down to the #23 spot. :)

I have something she can trip on if ya know what I mean :)

My cool story bro for the UK game...

Was sitting down in the hotel lobby this morning in Lexington, and there was a family of UK fans with a young son decked out in UK gear. He was trying to convince the table of UT fans next to him that Kentucky won and Tennessee lost. Finally his mom commented that since Kentucky had scored a touchdown her son believed that Kentucky had indeed won the game.

Kid has no clue what's in store for him as a Kentucky football fan.

Bless his little blue heart

Haha how about that... One loss for bama and their players already want to leave. Plus I guess he's seeing Saban was full of it and he won't get any playing time anytime soon

My how one loss and reality of looking at the depth chart changes perspective. Would love to have Kamara. Wonder why he failed to mention Croom.
