Recruiting Forum Football Talk IV

I got the chance to be around the UT 7v7 today and here’s a few nuggs I can drop:

1. There were a ton of schools there (about 3x the number of teams from last year). I can’t tell you any particular recruits that stood out mainly because there were so many teams and most of the players didn’t wear numbers or names on their shirts. Here’s a list of schools there if anyone recognizes a recruits school: Powell, Anderson County, Bearden, Farragut, Knox Catholic, MASE (Cam Miller’s HS) Blackmon, Tellico Plains, Giles County, Knox Central, Siegel, Gatlinburg Pittman, Stone Memorial, Hurricane (WV), North Forsyth (GA), North Gwinnett (GA), Woodward Academy (GA), Kenton (?), Glenville Cleveland (OH), Crest (SC), Pallotti (?), Glendale (?), Northwest Whitfield (?), Harding Academy (?), Chattanooga Central, George Washington (?), Blythewood (?), Hendersonville.
2. Huepel has definitely trimmed down a little.
3. Woodward Academy definitely had some good looking athletes and Rodney & Christian Harrison were there watching them.
4. Crest had one WR that could fly.
5. Golesh has the most god awful laugh you’ve ever heard.
6. Knox Catholic is still one of the most undisciplined teams I’ve seen.
7. I knew Joe Milton was big but my goodness that dude looks like an NFL DE right now. I can see why Heupel wanted so desperately for him to be the guy.

I wonder if any of it was recorded. I’d like to see AC play

For many of the newcomers it’s about gaining weight.

Dylan Sampson who arrived in the last couple of weeks came in at 190 pounds. Fellow running back Justin Williams-Thomas arrived in January at 205 and is now 215. Squirrel White is up to 160 pounds after arriving around 148-150 pounds.

Elijah Herring is currently around 233 after enrolling in January at 215.

And maybe the guy who’s changed the most is defensive end signee Jayson Jenkins who is 25 pounds heavier now than when he committed to the Vols back in January.

Sure seems like a no brainer. The money may draw other PGA players in time. Just watched the LIV draft for the teams then the interview with Phil's team. Just brutal. They flat out grilled him. The other three players on his team just sat there as the reporters just ripped off every scab and brought all his dirty laundry to the forefront. Thought he handled it as well as he could, but dayum...that it was raw

Just goes to show you how influenced/political the media can be when someone is going against the grain….a perfectly normal human being who has made mistakes just like anyone else including the media..is magnified just because he wants to better himself financially…can’t fault him at all..he’s still doing what he loves to do.

I understand the baseball team spent some time at Children’s Hospital last night. Guys seem to have their priorities in order.

Proud to be a Vol!!

GBO !!

I hope they promised to hit a homerun for them to every kid in there.

But seriously, proud of them. Always heartwarming to hear.
