No one knows if it would sway Arch, but it's not just Peyton and Eli who love Cut. Cut is a family friend. From Archie and Olivia, to all 3 Manning brothers (including Cooper even though he never played for Cut). They all trust Cut.

Outside of a few super negas on here, I never saw that prediction. Most intelligent folks knew we still had a very good offensive coach, coming off a 3-SEC-win team, a favorable schedule, and despite big losses - still a good bit of talent (top 20 composite team talent).

Vegas had us at 6-6.5 wins and they put their money where their mouth is. SP+ had us at 6.9 wins. 247's national writer had us at 6-6. The 4 local writers had us at 6-6 to 7-5.

I don't get this notion we were expected to be trash going into the season. This was essentially a 6-6 team last year. Nobody with a sane mind predicted us to take such a big drop off from (lol) cornbread.

I can’t remember specifically, but I can remember at least 2 National pundits that we’d be a 4 win team.

When I was a young kid in elementary school I heard that joke. Promptly went home and said mom do you know when a cub scout becomes a boyscout? She's like do you know what that means? No but it's funny right? She said don't ever tell that joke again.

Again, and I’ve been saying all along, I understand that point. So obviously I can put what you’re saying together. My point here: so supposedly the next best thing college football, who hasn’t considered TN at all, is all of a sudden going to decide to give us seriously consideration after an excellent coach, who is obviously past his prime, may be coming here as an analyst all because he made his uncles great? I just find that hard to believe. I hope I’m wrong, truly.

I’ll also add, if this one guy who started all this were seriously in the know, he’d at least get on here and say “you guys are way off” or some hint as to “yes you’re on the right track”. He wouldn’t be revealing anything by doing so. Which is another reason I’ll say that I don’t think he really has much to go on.

And if we guessed right.. u think he would tell us we were on right track. Dead give away to what he didn't want to get out. Now, if they said way off, there would be nothing that came from that

Stability is going to make such a difference in this era. I really hope Heupel can make it through his first 5 years, which likely will be bumpy. If he can, we will reap massive benefits in the subsequent 5.

Surprising. Are people saying he's headed that way?

This was only his 2nd season being fully handed the reigns of a defense. I believe he had before, but it was effectively taken back away and he went back to co-DC.

Would be surprising, unless people just see him as a better CEO type...recruiter...or whatever...but very glad Heupel identified a guy that well respected 🤜

I think he could easily give a hint as to either way. Otherwise, why jump on here and claim you have intel but only provide it cryptically? Heck, it’s not even his info. Some other user private messaged him and I notice that user hasn’t popped on to say “cut it out” or anything of that nature.
