Uhg..
But it's pointless, he will never be offered here again...

Can't imagine walking past the statues, into Neyland, standing for tPOTS and then seeing that talking camel scrotum order our players to flop and crawl around on the ground like wounded vermin..
He's the reason throat punches and mustard bottles were invented.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 And yet posters here and on social media proclaim that college football needs coaches like him. I don’t get it.

So is LT. I love that Wanya went to OU and has been a complete bust. Meanwhile Wright has stayed here and has had a fantastic year at LT. All we need is to sure up RT. Is that Crawford or someone from the portal? Either way, that's all we need and our OL will be really good next year

Ya know...I might get raked over the coals here but I ain't too mad if it ends up being Dayne. Gotta remember he was a walk-on and this will be a full off-season in the system with good tape to teach from. His 3rd year with the team, but first seeing action and his stats were better than expected. I think he's got a shot to be pretty solid, may even be able to earn a starting role.

Isn’t this week the start of a big recruiting push with coaches in the field making visits and gathering commitments? Where on VN can updates be found? Is there a summary of targets and scheduled visits. I’m new to recruiting and just a fan looking for some news. I’m sure Heup and staff are out doing work.
Would be nice to have a thread with updates. But who would do it? Y’all leave Nick alone. He has enough on his hands.

Not totally cause and effect but the irony (as commonly used), is that I was enjoying CFB a heck of a lot more before his first tweet for attention hit the interwebz.

I think Dayne has tried admirably to be a contributor, but when pressed into action he's not been all that serviceable. This year it was evident when he was in the game (not Ollie Lane evident, but evident all the same). I think the goal would be for him to be good enough to be solid depth.

I want to say Heupel and Elarbee developed a walk on or two during their time together at Missouri that turned out to be a solid player for them. I could be mistaken, but I think that's correct. Obviously I'd love to sign a stud out of HS or grab a talented guy out of the transfer portal, but these guys can develop an OL as long as they have enough time to work with them and the linemen has bought in. I think Dayne could be a good player here and at minimum make a solid back up - Maybe more as you mentioned.

Might want to check the tape...

From UT Sports:
2021 – RS-SOPHOMORE
Made first-career start at #4 Alabama (10/23), playing 57 snaps at right tackle without committing a penalty or allowing a pressure ... Played a season-high 80 snaps at right tackle vs. #13 Ole Miss (10/16) ... Played 26 offensive snaps as a reserve tackle without allowing a sack or pressure as UT racked up 683 yards of total offense in win at Mizzou (10/2) ... Saw significant action as a reserve in win vs. Tennessee Tech (9/18) ... Did not allow a pressure or commit a penalty in 43 snaps against the Golden Eagles ... Made collegiate debut in season-opening win vs. Bowling Green (9/2), seeing time on special teams and as a reserve offensive tackle ... Played seven offensive snaps in the opener.

I mean he's played some clean ball and penalty free according to the stats.

Right now, new kids eyeing the portal, daily. Even small doubts caused by the media's TN obsession, can make the difference in us getting on their initial short list.
Obviously we can overcome that but in our situation, if you can do *anything to help mitigate any negative*, then you do so.. the end.

Especially when you've already been forced to show up at street races against Bama and GA driving a Yugo.
But our Yugo has a super-charger in it.

Agree on Wright, but I wonder if there is a chance he might leave early after the improvement we've seen?

Their fans are all acting like drama queens. I really do hope that some other fan bases go through what we did to give everyone else some freaking perspective.

"boo hoo 😢😢😭 this will set us back a few years, maybe five or more! Why is this happening?!"

We are roommates with Adversity. Get over it, honey bun.
Best thing they can do is disregard the Titanic that is their recruiting classes…and get the hire right. Panic trying to make a hire that saves it and you have us the last 15.

There is no way this is accurate. They have to be missing some stats. He has definitely allowed a lot of pressures by not picking up blitzes because he didn’t see them.
