The post-Twitter/blog CFB media have been conditioned to point and laugh at Tennessee. To their credit, we made it extremely easy. Then you have this echo chamber of a whole generation of (younger but active) CFB fans that think they're joining in on the fun, or part of a historical long-running joke that makes them look like they're a seasoned fan of the sport.

Not to mention that every fanbase with a Tiger mascot has a program that DEPENDS on Tennessee being bad. And the teams that finally got out from under us that want to see us sink to the bottom of the ocean.

This "everything sucks, but nothing sucks as bad as Tennessee" act is so played out. Can't wait to watch this sport shed a whole subset of "media members" that couldn't hack it reporting on anything else.
Crystal encapsulated.

We've lost a lot of close games to good teams over the years and i remember feeling some excitement because we played good and it turns out those losses never really ended up helping us down the road.

We were up 6-2. But I hear ya… it’s been fun watching. I think I want to go to the Ryder Cup more than the Masters now. Fans are awesome.
9-3 extended the lead. They were down 3 to start. And with koepka and Berger losing after being up 3, those two winning had to happen to extend. Huge swing in momentum.

In preseason I said that I had a feeling Arkansas would be a pretty good team this year. I got roasted for that, but they've had an impressive start to the season. They play 4 ranked teams in a row starting today against TAMU. Gonna get a real assessment of them soon.
