As a business owner, it’s a big gamble to raise prices when the product isn’t good. I think he loses more than he gains. But they may anticipate that and that is why prices are so high. TV money will help mitigate those losses for sure. But I think season ticket sales will be very low.

They are equaling the price in the premium seats while creating new club seating like they do at pro games….. they are also adding more season tickets at cheaper prices for common fans…. He has done great balancing incoming money and getting students more involved.

They are lowering prices in other areas and making premium seating for rich people….. wider seats with back…. High end food and drink with private lounge for club seat holders…..I have faith that he will get that place rocking again.

Jimmy hyams with Brent hubbs said he has a friend that has paid $1,000 a year for 6 season tickets for years now because they are putting club seats in his section, to keep his seats in that section he will have to pay $27,600. WTF!!!

Who the F is going to pay that sh*t!?!?

27k is steep for sure but 1k a year for 6 seats is way underpriced

I disagree…. He needs to go full steam ahead…. He will piss some off and lose some but gain some more….. changing the way we do things has been needed for a long time.

I dont mind changing things, just how it's being done. Making people pay more for a worse product isn't good business. I'm expecting this to affect face value of single game tickets as well, and it's already expensive AF to attend. The product needs to be worth the increase and it just isn't

Who wants to sit on a wooden bench like a high school and piss in a trough elbow to elbow with other dudes?
Cut the capacity, improve the facilities, and make the game experience better. I go to sporting events sometimes just because the facility is nice and has good food and drink options (looking at you Miami Dolphins).

I’d go if I had to sit on my own jacket to keep from getting splinters as long as we’re winning.

What I’m referring to mostly is Hyams contention that someone that paid $1,000/year for a spot is now going to have to pay $25,000+ for the same spot. Just saying good luck finding someone willing to break the bank to pay that these days.
