Blake Toppemeyer is on a Memphis radio show every Friday. He said buying out Army was dishonorable and mentioned the several connections that UT has with the Army. He said that the few UT fans he had spoken to also agreed with him. They laughed about the release mentioning it being started by Fulmer. The more I hear him, the more of a bozo he sounds.

Media trying to make a story out of nothing. If army wants that to stop happening, then they should get with the times and quit running that ancient offense nobody wants to waste time teaching how to defend

Florida got a moral victory from hanging with Alabama last week but what if Alabama is not up to its typical standard this year (which I suspect at least so far it’s not)?

Anyway, I’m testing out a new simplified model for my weekly picks this week. It’s scoring offense minus scoring defense adjusted for strength of schedule (Sagarin) and home field advantage. The strength of schedule adjustment is calculated by dividing the SOS rank by 258 (teams) and multiplying by 36. I set the max spread to 36 because after that it’s just running up the score. I compared the expected SOS spread to the actual spread between the offense and defense and adjust for under or over performance. Finally, I add the actual spread plus the SOS adjustment plus the home field advantage for a given matchup to compare the two teams in a given matchup.

My picks for this week are highlighted in green.

There was not one mention of it being tough to deal with the blocking in week 3 of a season. More about us paying for an automatic win.

I would like to know what idiot AD scheduled that game.

Best round of my life was at Kelly Plantation. Shot 68 from the back tees but that was 20 years ago. Shot 66-67 a few times but on short easy courses.
I’ve shot a -1 71. Only time under. About 7 years ago now. Game is in good shape right now shot a 73 the other day. Think by the end of the year I’ll be getting under. Would love a round in the 60s before I’m dead

I’m for playing scheduled matchups after they’re scheduled. But one that was concocted 3 ADs and 2 HC’s ago leave no sense of obligation. This was getting bought out new admin or no…that’s been confirmed.

He talks out his azz and it smells like it. “Few UT fans” indeed. What a source! 😏

Idk if anyone has watched MTSU at all or if anyone has mentioned this but their QB Chase Cunningham has been very good

67% passing
638 yards
8 TDs
0 INTs

Went 28/40 with 5 TD passes against Will Healys UNC Charlotte team. Only started in 2 games.. Btw he he has 2 years left after this season tmk. He’s mobile enough to work in a spread offense and at 5’11 190 he’s the same size as Dillon Gabriel. If he keeps playing this well, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few UT coaches work behind the scenes and we see him in the portal after the seasons over

He’s from Knoxville. Played for Catholic with Cade and Cooper.
