We've scored a TD in every quarter of play except 1. And the team is averaging 42.7 PPG right now while the defense has only given up 15.7 PPG. I doubt we keep that up in league play, but if we can keep scoring 30 or more we may surprise some folks.

Big game this Saturday and the staff has played it pretty safe with injuries to try and be as healthy as possible for the trip.

Man....how bad is FSU?....I mean what UT has went through with the Pruitt firing...investigation...30 players transferring out....we still look light years better than FSU. Is their program that bad or is Norvell hot trash?

VJ has been nursing a hamstring injury so hasn’t played much the first two games. Given the fact he was on kickoff, punt return, and played the most snaps at WR this year tells me he’s healthy.

11 was concussed last week so it makes sense he didn’t play much yesterday.

9 also has been nursing a injury so it also makes sense he didn’t play much yesterday.

11 also can’t catch a cold, might be getting passed up unless something changes

In Butch's best season: 36.38 PPG and gave up 28.85 PPG. I'm impressed so far and in year 1.

All of our QBs suck, the WRs suck, and the OL sucks. Bailey got his chance and looked like crap...so yay....there is no hope there for good QB play either

I don't know what in the hell is wrong with the OL and RBs..that was absolutely pathetic playing this HS defense...

I am having trouble seeing five wins happening...

I'm not blaming the staff and I will be here to cheer on the guys as long as they play hard and don't quit...but the situation is what it is.

Yeah, I thought 5-7 was our floor before the season started but I think 4-8 is probably a more accurate floor. The injury bug is taking a toll, and we are thin.

I still think we find a way to 6 wins though. The team plays hard and we only have 3 truly tough games left. I think we find our way.

Will be fun and entertaining to watch!

This WR rotation is extremely puzzling.

For example game1 VJ barely played.

11 played very little yesterday


yesterday 9 didn’t play much if any until the second half.


did 9 play the first half? maybe suspended for a half?

They may have limited 9 since last week was his first back from injury. 11 was hurt last week, so I am sure they were careful with him.

1 was questionable to start the year, but seems to be closer to healthy now.

I know I’m in the minority here but I for one am glad that I see a TN team playing hard, playing together, playing to win, making halftime adjustments and being well prepared…we aren’t where we need to be but we certainly aren’t where we used to be…QB is certainly an issue, depth in numerous places & playing with a short handed roster…I support CJH and think he was done very well with what he has and the hand he has been dealt…GBO

I’m glad Heupel came here. He is an “up and comer,” and he didn’t have to take on this mess and this hyper-intense, super-negative fanbase.

Could have left it to the Wide Receiver Coach from Central Connecticut State University, which is who I thought we were going to hire after the mess Pruitt left us in.

Going back to the Florida 2 point conversion- I would have put in Richardson and really messed with Bama.

I know he wasn’t 100% but he could have played 1 down.

Anyways gators suck. I want to beat them more than any other team on our schedule

Agree. Richardson QB draw to pick up an extra blocker would have been my play.

People don’t realize how big he is, almost Milton size.

This will be the biggest test all year for our rushing defense. I also noticed the commentator last night said our defense was made to stop the run first. If we can hold them in check, which may be a monumental task, maybe we can at least frustrate them. Really worried about our OL vs their DL though...

Well we like to play man coverage but we might have to play single high safety and zone behind a 7-8 man box.

Need our DBs with their eyes on the QB at all times. Otherwise he will run for days in man coverage.

Florida got screwed terribly vs Bama… most notably that shifted momentum was either late 1st quarter or early 2nd when Florida defense made a stop on 3rd down for the first time in awhile but the ref calls PI on Florida DB when replay showed Metchie I think it was from Bama he was the one that deserved the Offensive PI!!! He pushed off on the Florida DB. So After that BS it keeps the bams drive alive and they go score another TD because of it… stuff like that changes momentum so much people don’t realize
