My opinion

Milton held the ball longer to show off that big arm. He has an absolute cannon. I can’t remember seeing a guy throw 70 yards flat footed like that.

Second half he put some touch on a pass but there was PI. He can do it. Hopefully he learns from it. Thankfully we were playing a team where it had zero impact on the outcome.

No chance I’m giving up on that kind of talent.

Gerald and a lot of former players are on Twitter….. our fans pick favorites and overreact to every single thing…. It ends up irritating our former players and they make comments….. Then our fans start attacking our own former players…. It’s a never ending cycle… They do have a point….. as a player….. they have spent their entire lives working on their craft…. Been injured, bloody, and bruised….. while fans just discuss and watch the game….
I understand and agree. I just don't think it does Gerald or anyone else any good to respond insulting and condescending. It doesn't change anything for the better, in my opinion. Maybe it does.

My uneducated opinion is that he wanted to hit the deep ball and after he missed that first one, he really started looking for the big play and only the big play. He knew he was playing an inferior opponent and probably was expecting to put up some big numbers and really started forcing it. Im hoping he settles in vs the harder opponents by not expecting it to be easy, and takes what the defense gives him. Again I’m totally reading between the lines and making assumptions. Only Milton and the coaches really know what’s going on with him.

O line health report, Mays??
Feel like he could of played the rest of the game but they decided to let that ankle heal. Looked like just a low ankle sprain. Usually takes 2 weeks to heal completely but with UTs Docs and physical therapy recovery equipment, shouldn’t be an issue to be almost full go in 1 week.

I mean… the coach said that Milton had things to fix so it’s not like it wasn’t actually an issue. Even Milton himself said he needed to fix it. Dunno why Riggs got so mad lol.

I assumed calling him Rusty was tongue and cheek. He is a UGA fan and there is only like one or two UGA fans that come over here that aren't enormous pricks. SECKing only shows up when things aren't going well for us so he is one of the enormous pricks in my book.
Or to let us know we’re about to get a recruit GA doesn’t want but is good enough for TN.

Those idiots handing out these f'n stupid deals are going to learn the hard way about busts..these guys disappear...a lot.

I could be wrong, but I don't think these NIL deals are all about financial ROI. A certain percentage, maybe a high percentage, are about paying recruits to sign with a program. Sure some will be busts, some will transfer, but like they (used to) say, "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin' ". With NIL, you don't even have to cheat, but there definitely seems to be some price inflation for buying players.

I think Milton was trying to force it. I believe his goal is to be a one and done here. He feels the need to prove himself to the NFL eyes each week to improve his draft stock. He has limited opportunities to do that. Instead of letting the game come to him he's trying to force things where they're not there.

Funny thing is, if he stops looking for that deep ball every throw and just hits his open guys, he will open up that deep ball.

He needs to take what's there for sure. His arm strength isn't a question mark at all. Everyone knows he can throw it a country mile. The question marks are whether he's a qb or whether he is a feller that can throw it a country mile. He needs to prove he's a qb, which is much more than arm strength.

Yeah. Under the old system, a kid could take money from several schools and then bolt for wherever he wanted. Under the new system, you don't get the money until you are enrolled. So essentially it is better for the bagmen. Plus they get at least a little publicity out of it. Before it had to all be in the shadows.

With all due respect, I have played the position and I do not ever remember seeing a guy hold the ball as long as this dude did. BG is really a bad team so may have something to do with having so much time but it was weird to watch. Also, I defended Milton until I just couldn't any more. He did not have a good game by any means and you don't have to be a VFL to see it. Even a couch potato can see it. Now, for the idiots who get on Twitter and slam are players, Screw them regardless if they played the game or not.
This!

Guess you didn’t visit Twitter. You would have thought that the coaches hired someone to have JG possess Milton so he would have to play just like him and do so for 3 years.

This is true. But they used to not have the world know the ridiculous amount you were paying for a bust. Now they are bragging about it. Might not be good for business when you get the bad PR of looking like an idiot.

I admit, I hadn't watched the Michigan tape of him, it may be his style, but he seems so nonchalant-- no hurry-- yet still missed open receivers. Like I said, beating opponents by 30 points is not really a thing to complain about and there were dropped passes, etc. We will know a lot more when we play Pitt.

I was responding to McGill saying the idiots paying for these deals would learn the hard way about busts. Just pointing out that paying recruits has always had the potential for busts but that never stopped it before. I doubt the higher price tags under the "NIL" system will stop it either.
