You sure do hate Bailey. Milton is who he is. He has proven that he has accuracy problems to the tune of a 56.7% completion rate in 141 attempts last year. 47.8% completion rate for the game yesterday. If you are going to discredit Bailey for putting up numbers against "walk-ons" then you must also discredit Milton for having a bad game against a team that did not win a game last year.

I saw nothing from Milton that would lead me to believe that he is going to be a superstar from the game last night. Guys that rocket every throw no matter the distance rarely ever break that tendency in my opinion. Hopefully, the coaching staff can help him improve his accuracy and how he reads what is happening on the field.

Its not that anyone hates Bailey ffs, people are for who gives us the best chance to win. Period. I don't give a damn who the QB is but Bailey is third string for a reason. Our coach knows a thing or two about QBs. Bailey just ain't the answer right now. Could be be in the future? Absolutely. But right now it's Milton, get behind him. He didn't make any catastrophic mistakes. Every mistake he made is easily correctable. Let's pull for him to improve.

Anyone have any photos or videos of these open WRs from last night?

Couldn't tell anything from the TV view. I want to see how open these guys were.
I'm sure the players will see plenty when they watch the game film

If Milton is the best we got we are 5-7 or 6-6 at best.
I would hold that assessment until next week when we set more of a game plan around his strengths and are able to correct some things on film….. all 3 of them can keep improving and if Milton struggles the. One of the other QBs will get their shot and may be able to execute the plays better in games.

No question. I'm just curious to see how wide open guys were for him not to see them.

They showed one play where Fant beat his man on a corner route that would have went for 6 but Joe had already started scrambling to the other side of the field.

Lmao...at the people saying Milton is soft because he doesn't look for contact when running the ball. If he did look to truck defenders and got hurt because of it...yall would be calling him a dumb***. Can't win with some of yall.

I don't think the needs to be overly aggressive and seek out contact, but he's really avoiding contact, slowing down, and leaving a lot of yards on the field. You can tell when he runs for purpose he's not slow. Those read option plays, he's running with purpose

As a quarterback....aren't you suppose to avoid contact?

I don't think it's all on Milton. The 1st quarter he threw a lot of timing routes and short routes and was 8-9 or 9-9. They knew they could do that all night so they worked on the run game and throwing deep. The defense was very soft making the deep throws very hard. The run game was open and they used it. I'm happy to see coaches adjust, running backs run hard and fall forward and see us take some chances deep. Is there room for improvement yes, but the sky isnt' falling on Milton.

Yeah, tonight Milton definitely wasn't athletic. Yeah, he scrambled a few times, but even Bailey would have scored on the rushing TD he got. He actually looked kinda slow to me for a dual-threat. If he is even labeled as such. I'm not calling to yank Milton and call for a QB battle. Milton need to continue to develope. But I think Bailey should have been given at least the 4th quarter tonight to see what he can do. Dude can throw. We've all seen it.

Tonight was just unexciting. I don't know if it was rust from the players or just they kept the gameplay quite generic. I couldn't pay as much attention tonight as I wanted to as I had to usher the student section. Woo boy.

I bet it was no gimmick when Lane ran it here but it became a gimmick when Gus gave Saban heartburn with it. They just haven’t gotten the memo that Saban’s been using it ever since.
Again Bama doesn’t run a hurry up offense… they are routinely near the bottom of the ncaa in plays per game and seconds per snap… just because someone’s explosive doesn’t mean they run hurry up.
