Ive got a general idea of what I think will happen with JH,

This is basically where Butch may have ended up if 2017 didn't go over the cliff.

Don't know the future, but the positive energy is a nice change. He's not trying to hide anybody on the Coaching Staff. He didn't spend the entire press conference talking about how bad everyone is and mangling the English language.

Yeah - same here. I don't want to place expectations on Heup because Dools, Botch and Cornbread failed. That's a lot of losing and failure to overcome. Just going to enjoy the positive changes like a great, fun O scheme and the overall positive vibe. Whatever happens in the W/L column happens. I feel like Heup is sharp enough to accentuate the more proven position groups and aspects of the team while managing the lesser to the best extent possible.

He for sure may. He's only 43 and has time to grow and a boss that i would bet is willing to be patient with him. It definitely will be much better than more Pruitt ball.

Because JH isnt a household big fish name. Ive got some friends who basically bought in that TN was getting someone from the A+ tier. Cristobal, Fleck, Fitzgerald etc... and once Heupel was announced they checked out because they assume he is another same ole same ole.

That’s on them. Wasn’t happening.

Has anything change since the initial report that they were arrested for simple possession and drug paraphernalia? If not this isn’t an issue.

I thought that there was some fighting involved, but maybe that was an initial report that was incorrect.

The Fulmer Cup is a fallacy. It was started by butthurt Gators or Georgia pukes who thought they were being funny and creative. We had a stretch, very overblown at the time, with some players getting in trouble. It was no worse than other SEC schools at that time and probably not nearly bad as some of the crap currently going on in Gainesville or Athens.

Not sure how you got that first part out of my post about wanting to tear it down, but all I’m saying is I think with this scheme we will put up enough points to where most likely 2/3rds of the schedule won’t be able to match it and we’ll be around an 8-4 team at least year in, year out. That’s just my opinion. I meant let’s get to that point first then we can raise expectations of competing with the big boys in the conference for championships. If we are 5-6 years in and we’ve not beaten one of our big 3 rivals then yes I could see them moving on. But the point was my opinion is 8-4 should be the floor once he gets a couple of years to get the system in place and rebuild some depth. I do agree with you that the guys we have here are more talented than any first year coach we’ve had since kiffin so I could see 7-5. If the roster shapes up before fall I could see 8-4 this year as I don’t see why we should ever lose to Kentucky or Missouri which are 2 of my toss up games this year. But I’m not going to set myself up for major disappointment by having that as an expectation in year 1.

Please don't engage him. He lives to argue with people who are the least bit positive.
