Right - and specifically regarding the hiring of Heupel, White should consider himself lucky it leaked the night before. It gave people time to come to grips with it and get on board.

People would have been 10x more pissed to wake up the next morning with a press release.

We've got a ton of problems, like you said. Danny White should be more concerned with why and how he was turned down by multiple candidates and landed on his back-up plan at UCF instead of spending time worrying about "leaks" and reporting from media members in this town who have kept plugging away, trying to cover a terrible program for the last decade.

Yeah, DW needs to learn how to be a good AD, one people respect. Oh wait...

Either leaks from the dept are acceptable or leaks are a sign of dysfunction. Pretty simple. And they aren't acceptable. Our obsession with knowing ahead of time what's going to happen doesn't change that. And the fact it's been done that way in the past doesn't change that.
