While unsure where he stands on the list. But I did speak with one of the largest Michigan boosters earlier this week who told me that Herman was not taking the OC job there due to waiting to see how the situation with TN played out. TIFWIW.
If it happens. Thats a solid get for Harbaugh. Would open up his offense.

I will learn to deal with anyone hired. I may not ever like them but i wouldnt stop supporting the team.
I also am very skeptical about the info being leaked. I feel like it is probably half truth and half misdirection. I believe nothing is by mistake with this ADs leadership. It is amazing how a well timed leak will quiet/excite the fan base, keep them engaged, buy time for an announcement or finalized contract, or put pressure on someone to close the deal.
Why let a name drop now?

UT is a hot mess right now and any coach that wants to risk his career coming here is good enough for me. Some of you guys can hide behind the coverup story at Vandy but I believe the real reason you don't want Franklin is because you think UT is too good to hire an ex Vandy coach.

Go ahead and admit it to yourselves and then accept it if it becomes true.

So by most accounts.
Franklin is a damn good coach.
From what I recall, can recruit pretty well, and has ties already to the south.
Was vetted and cleared by a school recovering from a child/athlete molestation case.
Is willing to come here, supposedly...
BUT, he’s an ass? (Which I agree, but could care less! Not like I’ll ever meet him or have my kids around him!)

Is that’s seriously, yalls only problem with him?

No.

I just feel like he handled the rape scandal poorly until he was forced to take immediate action.

He wins ball games, nobody is denying that.

Is he trustworthy? That’s all we’re worried about.

TB is saying DW won't deal with sexton clients. And I heard this from someone else, too.
Probably isn't allowed to due to Pruitt, would imagine if this is the case that we're not in deep as everyone is saying (regarding NCAA violations). If you tell a sexton client that's it not that bad then he will tell Pruitt, which in turn will then result in us paying more of the buyout.

Bet you the firm and/or our AD release a similar notice following this process like what Auburn did. Just a quick, "hey all those rumors you heard were BS that was floated by agents. We never talked to these people, and the coaches/agents tried to make a fat check on our name. But we didn't want them."

I think there is a new attitude among most ADs out there that they are tied of agents pushing their process and making their jobs difficult

Well Brian Kelly shouldn’t be employed but that’s neither here nor there.

And none of those coaches you mentioned have been sued twice in the past year and testify in a gang rape trial committed by their players.

You’re ignoring the argument. It’s not that Franklin has baggage. Every coach does. It’s the a) what the baggage is b) how much baggage there is and c) the fact he has baggage at both of his stops.
Would you have been ok with an Urban hire? Let’s see how high your moral high ground is.
