Basilio is completely wrong about Sonny Dikes getting an offer. Danny White's sister is an Assistant AD at SMU. I believe he utilized his connections to create a smoke screen out there. These ADs do that type of stuff.

You don't think who the OC is has no influence at all? You don't think kids get recruited by specific coaches? Come on, that's a very short-sighted way to view it.

They do certainly. I just think that once you get to that caliber of a program, it’s less about the coaching personnel and more name recognition. Players would say “I played for Dabo” more often than “I played for Elliott” I think. I’m no specialist, only a humble armchair Vol Fan wishing we had that problem haha

But he had to prove his worth as a HC at Vandy before getting the Penn St job. I know we have been bad lately, but we aren’t Vandy in terms of program expectations.

I've heard some rumors on a few assistants for Elliott, so I'll try to do this and fill in some gaps.

HC: Elliott
OC: I'd guess Chad Morris because he's available.
RB: Graham
WR: Tee or Justin Stepp
OL: Alex Atkins or Thomas Austin
QB: JP Losman

DC: Steele or Todd Bates
DL: Todd Bates
LB: Steele or Andrew Warwick
DB: Mike Reed or Charlie Harbison

Marion Hobby is also an option on the defensive side, and Joe Craddock on the offensive side. Craddock is the leading candidate at MTSU for their OC position.

James Franklin was the OC at Maryland and brought then from last in conference to 3or 4

Why is Tee mentioned on every future staff. I didn't see any improvement at all with our WR and I don't think being a VFL with coaching experience make you the best choice. If that was the case call Daryl Dickey at least he has been a head coach,

When JP was hired literally every player he had coached came out and talked about how great of a leader he is.

I remember people at GA speaking pretty badly of Pruitt and we all brushed it off and hoped it wasn't true. There were definitely red flags with Pruitt that ended up becoming true in the end.
